Got the backboard sitting nice with the mobo tray now, just need to re-drill the holes for the 24pin ATX cable. Very tempted to get all my blocks Nickel coated, maybe just the GPU as i don't think you will notice the others as they will have coloured fluid! Im in love with how clean it looks! Kinda wish i put the flooring in so it was all light up! never mind Working area!! Loads to come this weekend I want it all filled up and lead tested! May even boot it up!!! If all goes well, it will be stripped back down again, front and top flushed off and painted/powderd!!! Cant wait!! Skorch
Drilled some holes today and changed part of the tubing, i think it looks much better? What you guys think? Unfortunately a few bits didn't come that i was hoping for before the weekend! I still be able to get loops filled up and tested.. Watch this space Skorch
Just finished a 7hour stint! Busy day today, I bolted down the back plate and got all the tubing done with only come gluing required before I can fill her up and leak test her. I filled up the sink and air tested most the fitting combinations so I hope it will be a dry experience. I will make the rad stand once it all leak tested and stripped back down again. Here are the pics, I love my new camera My brothers dog popped in to give me a hand. Next pics it should be full of coolant (I don’t think I have enough lol!) Skorch
Does not look like im going to get this think leak tested this weekend, just orderd the Hard Drive so i can get that drilled/tapped in to the drive bays and figure out how all the cable routing is going to happen!
She alive with just clear DI water for leak testing, all joints are fine so making some final cuts and then it ready to get powdered/painted. Got a really funny video of filling it up haha, there was a huge cock up. Ill upload tomorrow. Not had much time at the mo to work on it but hopefully can find some time soon. Skorch
pc-beto if i had to change one thing, it would be the hosing inlet to pump 3. should be shorter btw, magnet test the plugs/blanking screws! if they are magnetic, change them, since they are steel then
isnt di, destiled water? EDIT: and dude! when you leak test, DONT have the system running at the same time. thats the main thing that ****s up hardware. shortwire the psu with ONLY pumps running
I think DI is De-Ionized. I don't where, but I did read somewhere that it's bad for loops. Or maybe that person/site was talking out of their ass(es).
lol, it was fully leak tested for a long time before i fired anything up. Yes it is for sustained use, for testing its fine. Thanks for all the comments guys
