Scratch Build – In Progress ****** PHINIX CUBE ******* - the one and only:)

Nicely put. If it's not fun, it's not a hobby! Thank you for an inspirational project log.

 

As Combatus already said, Cube (...and me) wil come out on 23rd of July in 72 issue of CustomPC. I also started to receive all the good stuff from CPC. Like I mentioned before, I'm already planning next project, so in next month or two I may start new Work Log, this time it will be a case mod project, based on Lian Li A05 case and i7 system. I'm saving right now for new parts, so will sell all my prizes as well, if you guys need anything, please take a look in my for sale thread - don't hasitate, its for a good cause

Been busy lately...

Well.. I have some ideas and plans to mod a Lian Li A05 (already have a case), but cannot find a time to do it. I see E.E.L. Ambiense already took advantage of that case and made sweet mod, so now for me this case mode would be like reinventing the wheel
One is for sure - I feel it in my guts that I have to mod! I feel I need to do sth, I keep reading about other projects here all the time at work, coming back, checking news, "scanning" photos of other mods.. I'm looking for that small sparkle that will start the flames of modding passion again in my head and then nothing will stop my dremel!

 

I've been using a full tower Lian-Li for an end table coffee rest next to my chair. Total waste. I too have been searching for 'the something new or different' I feel your plight.
I finally bit the bullet and at least put it on my workbench. E.E.L. did a full Lian-Li too so "go figure".

The A05 is a nice case. It has been done before but what hasn't.
Slap it up on the bench and walk around staring? Modder's Block? It will come to you and we will wait and watch.

As some of you may know, we are in Madrid right now, having a lot of fun, meeting all felow modders, its good to connect faces with our forum nicknames.

I must agree - it's defiantly one of the nicest casemods here in Madrid!
Normally I don't like acryl cases that much, but this one is truly an exception. I like it a lot!
