For a second there I was looking for gunshot holes on the windows, but then I saw it

On topic - Ironically this is getting posted in both this and the what makes your life suck thread..

The school website (the one used to login to classes) is down and has been down for 3 days, and was only supposed to be down for 3 hours... Good thing is this week and whatever else is missed due to the class being unaccessable is pretty much a pass grade. And I get to have a few days off. :D:rock:

Learning to play the guitar and can feel myself improving gradually, it's awesome. Also, back to London and university tomorrow. Oh, and her.

Today I saw a guy on the tube reading Custom PC. If he wasn't reading it so intently, I would've started a conversation.

After forcing myself to go out for my birthday meal last night despite being ill, I had a fantastic time. Went to the (fairly) new Jamie's Italian. You can't book tables so we went early to make sure we could get in. The food was fantastic, apart from the starter which was a bit odd.

I had chilled chargrilled veg for a starter and must've have missed out the chilled bit because I was surprised when it was cold. Just tasted wrong cold, should've been hot for me. Luckily the pumpkin ravioli with crushed amaretti in a butter & sage sauce was completely gorgeous. Then had chocolate raspberry & amaretto brownie with bourbon ice cream for dessert (I never have starters or desserts usually). Possibly the best dessert I have ever had. Heaven. Do recommend.

Oh and my mates got me ace presents making me very happy indeed :D

Just had one of those nights at work where everything went perfectly.

I was on FOH for Beth Nielson Chapman, who's a country/folk singer. No problems in soundcheck, no issues for the whole set, perfect clarity, not even a hint of anything feeding back!

It's a rare occasion, but I love nights like these :)

Dug up a full bucket of potatoes from the garden today. Am planning on making an incredible potato-based-meal tomorrow for myself and the Boyfriend. It shall be good. (nothing beats homegrown vegetables)

Starting Uni in four days doing a course I'm going to love. It's a sunny day, I have lunch waiting for me on the table, and just ordered bits for a new computer. Can't get better!

After several months of hell with my Mum's cancer diagnoses back in May, and being told that it was pretty much hopeless by the docs down in Kent, and any treatment was going to be palliative at best, we just had some fracking excellent news - My mum's latest CT scan shows no evidence of the ovarian cancer whatsoever!!!! :eeek:

She's had an unbelievably good response to the chemo - the Doctors in Northampton (we moved her in with us so she'd we'd be able keep an eye on her and get her to hospital quicker) are very positive about it all, and will be keeping track of her over the next couple of months to ensure that it definitely has gone.

And even if it hasn't, they believe that it's manageable, considering she's gone from death's door to healthy as a horse with 6 Chemo sessions.

Over the moon at the moment!
