Too cheap to remove the dust.

Thanks for the info about the Asus warranty service. I did look at the g1 series unfortunatley at £450 or something the assassin is WAY out my price range, I did look at the two cheaper versions of the g1 the sniper for £370 and the Guerilla for £290 which is in my price range, can you see any difference between the sniper and the guerilla? As I'm struggling especially for £80 more.

Unfortunatley though unless I water cool all 3 cards when I get them, I would have no internet as I need a pcie x1 slot free for my crappy wireless

Ummm yeah maybe then end of april I'll change whatever I buy back to a sabertooth for the hell of it ;D

 

The G1.Sniper compared to the G1.Guerilla

• G1.Guerrilla has no dedicated sound card. It uses a RealTek onboard sound card, and uses software from Creative to simulate EAX. (useless... onboard sound card all the way, or go all in with a dedicated sound card). Of course, the embedded X-Fi chip on the Sniper model isn't superb... it looks like to be a low end sound card, but still better than onBoard.

 

£80 is a hell of a premium just for an integrated sound card. Surely the difference from the Realtek audio to the X-Fi chip isn't worth the money and the difference in quality won't be all that noticable, if at all

 

luckily I'm not bothered about on board sound as I run it out to an onkyo receiver and some kef speakers

 

Used both and out of the two the big bang is by far the most consistent.

That gets my vote.
