Thanks Hannes! Not an update but an inkling of things to come. Unfortunately, I'm going to be out of pocket for the next few weeks until I get a couple of work projects finished but thought I'd leave you with this for the time being.

[/lurk]Thanks guys, I'm still here. Work has been crazy so the modding time has suffered. I can always tell when I'm working too much because the planned modding projects start tribbling. Nothing more dangerous than being a bored modder stuck in hotel room with internet access.

And into the modding cupboard it goes.

On the upside, I did get a new batch of brass laser cut parts a couple weeks back so I can no longer blame the delays on lack of parts. One other thing, of all the parts that I've sourced, scrounged, modded, and begged for this mod, these were the most painful of all.

came...the new epic. I await your "Vidi Veni" mod.

Everything else was easy compared to those crystals, it was a saga worthy of what this mod has turned into. Finally found a lady on Etsy who sifted through an inventory of a million crystals to find those. Sigh, I blame Langer (Sorry Cheaps). His compulsion for mods made from unobtanium egged on the scavenger hunt. More modding and less hunting to come. Thanks for watching

 

More uranium glass?

Also, good to see some progress. I think I'm off to find more unobtanium myself...

 

No couldn't find any of the narrow ones in uranium so I had to settle for lookalikes. Took more time than I ever would have thought possible. Some unobtanium of the far east extraction perhaps?

 

Had to brush up on my Mandarin for it, I'll say that much.

 

this mod needs to get finished. Seriously!

 

Maybe... don't be angry you should have checked to see if there were any lapidaries, or lapidary clubs near you, they could/can cut the U-glass to whatever size/cut you need...
