Just heard that a Red Arrows aircraft has crashed while finishing a display at Bournemouth airport. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-14602900 I really hope the pilot is ok, and that the Red Arrows continue to display. Sam
Snap, I hope he's ok. I think the flight of the Vulcan at the same show was cancelled due to a fuel leak.
I hope the pilot's ok, the Red Arrows are a fantastic spectacle - a real treat over the summer months as they do displays across the country. Fingers crossed!
Yes cookie, Vulcan has been grounded for 2 weeks due to a fuel leak, so both Shoreham and Bournemouth displays cancelled. Sam
Pilot ( has ) died it would appear, extremely sad- they were due to perform at the Dartmouth Royal Regatta in a week or so, doubt that's happening now. RIP Red 4, Flt Lt Jon Egging
Did this happen after a display or during? Very sad, the people who fly in the Red Arrows are amongst the best humanity has to offer. RIP.
Very sad indeed, I have enormous respect for these pilots. They come from flying combat missions and only the best get picked for the red arrows. R.I.P.
A bit of both, The main display had finished, but they do a 1 off for those who maybe standing around the Airport. Very sad news indeed. Sam
Unfortunate, but not unfair. He did die doing what he wanted to do and knowing the substantial risks involved.
