hey guys, didn't want to start a new thread for a simple question, but how do you hold your breath when using the scope?

Is any one else not able to find any Caspian Border servers? I found them last night but they seem to all be Metro tonight? Have I missed something?

 

anybody else been getting a black screen with beta in corner? when starting a game? only just started, i can here sound and thats it. driver are up to date

 

Caspian has ended now, it was only for 3 days.

 

DICE said they shutdown the Caspian Border servers.

The elephant in the room is why the standard map does not have tanks/planes/vehicles.

 

The server files where leaked, so some caspian servers have appeared, about 120 players etc, dont play on them as you can loose you're origin login details.

 

finally fixed my problems, turned of UPnP on my router and bam it works..

had a few cracking games tonight, my 2 best games so far.

i found a winning combo for sv98. Use the bipod, 12x scope and laser pointer. There is no sway with the bipod deployed, you have good range with the scope and the laser just blinds your targets silly.

Also, recon does have a motion sensor. it seems to work like the one in black ops. I haven't tried it though.

 

Since it's open beta, simple: start a new login and go in it Caspian is well worth playing.

I'm using bipod and 12 scope and laser. The not liking the bipod as it requires you to sit still, perfect headshot victim.

Just managed my first 2 knife kills, then the game crashes and didnt save it

Im happy with my 4870 gameplay so i wont be upgrading anything for this game, well apart from my beer stock

 

Currently not finding any servers at all

 

Part of the Battlefield 3 stand at the Gamefest 2011 in Madrid. There are campaign and multiplayer demos. CoD:MW3 has a longer queue :S

 

I noticed on some sites where console players are more prevalent that BF3 isn't that well received. Some of the the complaints were that the visuals weren't as impressive in the trailers (since it was pc version being displayed) and i believe the "feel" for the controls.

I think this "feel" they are talking about is that slight delay with your character's actions that is accentuated by a lower framerate. That's why COD is so popular on consoles. It's because of the smooth framerate that gives the game that "feel" people like.

Pc gamers won't really notice it because most people tend to have the game running at 60fps anyway on bf3.

 

I agree, the game seems to be getting a lot of bad rep from the beta; I'm loving it though.

 

I'm more of a console player than a PC player and imo BF3 Beta on the 360 feels cack. Tons of clipping, glitches, etc. and the game looks terrible BUT that may be because I have played the PC Beta and whilst I stink at present (I'm slowly getting accustomed to m+kb) it is leaps and bounds better than the 360 version.

Am enjoying the game so far, but getting fed up of Metro. RPG spam and camping seems to be on the increase. Wish I'd started playing when Caspian was available; would have been good to true some different maps.

Out of interest, are the unlocks and ranks reset once the beta is finished, or do they stay?

 

No, we all start again on the release, nothing carries over.
