Yeah, I was surprised after reading a few reviews. It's looks like a great cooler.
    :hehe:

Of course if it doesn't work, and you have to resort to watercooling, I shall declare victory! :D

All of 6319 for the Hunk-O-Junk™ in my sig (3.2GHz). At a very scary 1.5 volts and 4.2GHz, 8045 with my CD drive going beserk :jawdrop:

looks like you have a good chip there though. Mine won't stay stable at over 4ghz. Not even with 1.5v going through him. I really wanted to crack 8k... grrrr :wallbash:

All you guys are getting really hot on my heels :eeek: I'm gonna need to watch my back lol!

PS Spreadie if your CPU does 4.5GHz Geekbench stable at 1.45v, that's pretty darn good. I tried 4.4GHz with mine and it needed 1.56v :eeek: LOL

    I think it's a great chip. It's prime stable at 4GHz with 1.25v - my 24/7 setup. :thumb:

1.45v for 4.5GHz is great, but then it's a huge step up to 1.5125v for 4.6GHz; which is bad for the temps. I'd like to push it some more, but I'm sh!t-feared of killing it; so I shall concentrate a little more on memory bandwidth, now I know what the CPU can handle.

First, I need to improve the cooling; with a spot of :dremel:.

High 80s @ 4GHz sounds a bit rough mate. How much vcore are you giving it, and what cooler are you using?

I thought you'd have taken the QX for a glory run, Pete. Surely she'll do a touch more than 4GHz ? :D

Sounds like auto vcore to me lol.

My 920 has a tjmax of 94C and I took it to 94C about a week ago (not intentionally, I might add) and all that happened was BSOD and restart. Hitting tjmax for a split second isn't going to do any harm, as long as the voltage isn't excessively high when it happens.

    That's what I was thinking.

Yeah, I made a bit of a noob mistake last week; and one of my cores hit TJmax. My loop was hot after running Furmark on my 295, and my rad fans were still at 5v; but I went ahead and push the CPU pretty hard. :duh:

Doing dumb sh!t like that will cost me a CPU one day. :wallbash:

Luckily nothing happened, but it was only one core for a second or so.

I keep checking peoples results to see if they are getting close to me, if someone gets with in 200 points of me. I'll have to see what else I can pull out of the hat :p

Did a little more reading and temps maxed at 68 this time.

Was just wanting to see what kind of difference there would be in score so just set to 20*200 and left everything else auto. Set vcore to 1.28 now and using gelid tranquillo. Might continue having a play around, only way to learn really :)

Just got my new netbook today, scored 1731! I'm very impressed with AMD, for the first time in years.

Points/kg chart perhaps? Mine scores 1081 p/kg, anyone want to weigh their PC? :D

Lovely machine if anyone is looking for one, got mine for £269 inc. delivery.

Damn my CPU cooler weighs 2KG by itself lol... I reckon my PC is a good 10KG anyways.
