I don't understand all the hate on the overclock forums link. This case looks great.

 

My guess is envy. Pure and simple.
Those who can, do. Those who can't, try. Those who fail miserably, hate!

 

I think that sums it up well .

This mod is sooooooo not sheet, total opposite & expect any trekkie would love this case, I'm not a trekkie & still think it's an awesome Star Trek mod .

 

Was it Slipperyskip that 1st measured his success by the amount of hate posts? -Sounds like like you did well. The disposable generation will never get it.

 

Wow I ve never seen so much hate in a single thread!! Its a unique piece and if he would like he could sell it for a million! This is art, nobody can put a price for unique art pieces. Imagine Picasso paintings sold like 50 dollars cause the paint and canvas cause 20 and the rest was profit. I am very curious to see if I post any of my mods and ask a ridiculously high amount of money what the reaction will be. They might sue me I guess.... Disposable generation indeed as Cheaps said.

If you take only the labour, material and cost of hardware, many of them would end up there!
Sad to see those who does not understand it... But that's life of a narrow minded person I guess.

 

Holly sh!t, I stopped reading the overclock thread of hate at the end of the first page. Who are they to critize this piece of art ? Not even the quarter of them would be able to built one tenth of this case.

I love this case Bill and the customer happyness is what really matter. Keep up your amazing work

 

Apparently, prizes are considered earnings in the States. Hence, the value of the case was added to his income and he was pushed from the 15% income tax bracket into the 25% tax bracket.

 

I had several emails in inbox this morning asking for a video or completed photos of our Star Trek PC build? .... all made sense after popping onto Google, Ahh, Star Trek: The Original Series 46th Anniversary marked by Google.. Unfortunately I never made a video of these builds... I wish I had, but didn't have the time!



btw, the individual auctioning off the PC ending up keeping it
