I am sure that someone would... I am only venting my frustration with the situation when somehow someone can grab exclusive distribution rights for many games, yet forget to release any DLC. For example i had to buy Fallout 3 GOTY to get the DLC even when i owned Fallout 3 - because it is impossible to buy the DLC here on Steam/GFWL, and exclusive distributor somehow forgot to sell them.

Yeah, I know. But my point is that luckily you're in the position of having an alternative, even though I wholeheartedly agree with you that this kind of circumvention shouldn't be necessary to begin with.

Can't you just change your location? My gf has her steam set to Austria for that reason. (She's also Slovak)

It is against the subscriber agreement to use VPN. And no, you can't change location, Steam is using GeoIP.

Actually makes me wonder if that's in breach of E.U. law one market place and all that. Reminds me of the case of the pub landlady that showed premiership football but streamed from a Greek broadcaster

So everything Magicka is 75% on Steam, which is good if you were at the Bit-Tech & CPC quiz, got a magicka code and enjoyed it.

The latest proper DLC, i.e. something that's not a hat, The Other Side of The Coin is 99p.

Edit: To those who just have the base game it looks like it might actually be cheaper to buy the Magicka Collection if you want all the DLC hats and all. I haven't properly looked as I'm tired, and feeling fairly lazy.....

It's a shame they use uplay, one of the worst of all major drm technologies. It makes all the really old problems steam used to suffer from look like very very minute blips in comparrison.

You mean U"we cant be bothered to restore the online servers required to play most of our games durring the weekend when Steam Summer sale is going on"Play ? No thanks. I will limit my UPlay exposure to the minimum possible. If some game needs it (Assasins Creed, Anno 2070) i will survive, but buying stuff there ?

I can't even see the page where it offers hawx for £1. I click on it, it gives me a big list of games and hawx is at £11 :(

Well, I thought hawx 2 was terrible. It didn't react well to my joystick at all making it unplayable. I really enjoyed hawx 1 though, it was just a bit short.

Ahh my bad, says thursday, it's been a long day.

And they haven't put the Anno dlc on offer. Sad panda :(

Gamersgate has SupCom Gold for £3 today, can be activated on Steam.

Well, despite it being Ubisoft I picked up Hawx 2 yesterday for a quid and From Dust this morning. I figured, what the heck!

Having said that my best bargain was Saints Row the Third (Steam key) for £3.99 at PCWorld Downloads: http://www.pcworlddownloads.co.uk/product/lp28020/saints-row-the-third/

Use code pcgamer20 at the checkout to get a quid off. They also have Warhammer 40000 Space Marine for the same price.

I bought Space Marine in the Steam Sales and wasn't overly impressed.

It didn't help that I got a bug that slowed down play intermittently with seemingly no fix but a lot of unhappy players.
