Every time i see Vettel's car all i can think is: spin off... go on... crash it... EDIT: and hulkenberg takes out hamilton... also RBR mess up putting finger on slicks... can alonso capitalise... it would appear not...
schumacher you prat... EDIT: god damnit Di Resta... safetycar and looks like finger has it sewn up... boo!
Well, Vettel won the official championship, but during the season he lost any respect i had for him. One can only hope Renault will totally screw up their engines for 2014, so RBR can have then a insanely bad season(s).
Tragic, how many WC's in F1 have actually been won fair and square without any controversial decisions from the totally unqualified stewards?
Would rather have seen Alonso win, but credit to Vettel he drove a solid race, considering what happened to him on the first lap and then driving the rest of race with damage to his car. Reading through Facebook there seems to be an awful lot of hate for Schumacher, which is think is totally unnecessary, sure he let Vettel through, but firstly it didn't matter Vettel would of won anyway without overtaking him, secondly Michael couldn't of held Vettel up even if he wanted, Vettel was much faster. Besides its hardly any different to what Massa did throughout the race, heck if it wasn't for Massa, Alonso wouldn't even had been in contention. Great race regardless. I watched the race but maybe i missed it, what controversial decision awarded vettel this WC?
Faug, why on earth do you harbour such hatred for Sebastian Vettel and RBR? Thought that was one of the most exciting races I've ever seen. I haven't seen every race of the 2012 season past Italy, but none that I've seen in recent years were as exciting as that! Congrats to Seb, commiserations to Alonso, and congratulations to my favourite driver on the track, mr adverse conditions himself, JB
I'd say the Hulk vs Ham incident was very much a racing moment - he was aiming to give Lewis enough space to get around the Caterham, but locked up and could do nothing. What a race, I'm exhausted now! Shame Alonso didn't take it, Vettel was incredibly lucky to get through the first lap - Raikkonen took an incredible avoid and then he got tagged through his own fault anyway, how that car didn't fall to bits is a credit to Newey for designing a pretty tough racing car.
Same, on a slightly drier track it would have been a textbook overtake. Hamilton realised Hulk had the inside line, gave him space, but the rear of the Force India was just that bit too slippy to keep it going in the right direction. Unfortunate though, it could have been an amazing first win for Nico and the Force India team (and reminiscent of it's days as Jordan F1).
Yellow flag overtake still to be contested. Lets see what happens. Great race, don't usually watch F1. but my cousin had it on.
Meh, watching the sky slow mo sky pad analysis most of the overtake took place under green fla, maybe V was level or ahead by an inch by the time the next yellow is shown. Just my opinion the marshals have better info than us.
That was a good and enjoyable last race to watch. Overall this sesaon was probably the most interesting to watch during the last decade of F1. Let's hope that the regulations for 2014+ will make F1 even more interesting to watch. It's still too much about the cars instead of the drivers for my taste.
Vettel - you didn't hear him on radio during last few races ? A 4 year old kid who didn't get his toy would behave better than him. And Red Bull... Well, i dislike when teams dominate as much as RBR does now, or as Ferrari did back then.
I'd guess he was either referring to how quickly Vettel caught up after the first lap incident despite yellows, or the overtake on Kobayashi, although I think Kobayashi deliberately ran out to avoid breaking on the wet part of the track and wasn't pushed by Vettel, as for Vettel catching up quickly, well we never got to see much of how he did that as there was so much action everywhere.
