Some of those end prices might make my SSK price seem acceptable

There's a subtle difference between an Industrial SSK in very, very good condition (some scratches on the side and / or rear) and yours I'm afraid (mismatched keys, big-ass scratch along the front etc)

Not all the SSKs were industrial... Internet sarcasm detector failure

I'm scared of those listings. One of them might take all of my money.

I did notice that... If anything, his sale might force down the price of these rather than inflate it further

I guess so, I'm sure the M15 triangle will roll him in some heavy cash!

EDIT: Both Industrials already over $130. Skyrocketing here we come.

Those industrials and M13s are tempting...

it's in aussie dollars though, which are a bit weaker than us dollars.

It's all tasty stuff, certainly going to amount to a small fortune.

Perhaps he's cashing in on the fact that eBay seems to command reasonable prices on old peripherals now? There's definitely a contingent of hardcore enthusiasts keeping an eye on there these days - as evidenced by the fact we're talking about it!

That said, I sold a "very well used but definitely not vintage" G80-3000LSCGB on eBay for £65 + delivery last autumn, so there are plenty of fools on there as well. Not that I'm complaining...

Not to mention eBay takes a massive cut these days.

If I sell an item for £110 delivered, and postage actually costs me a tenner, I end up with £86.06 in my pocket. It's pretty pants, and that's not taking into account any insertion fees.

If I came across a big old box of IBM M stuff that had a bunch of 'rare' models in there at a surplus sale for really cheap... you can bet I would auction them on ebay for maximum profit instead of selling them for fair prices in the community.
