More here. I'm really looking forward to this, I just hope they put free roam in.

Only played Mafia 2 a little bit before my psu died on me when it came out, but quite liked it. Hopefully Mafia 3 will be good in similar ways.

Free roam was there, you just had to delay going to the next mission once you had completed one.

I spent hours playing Mafia 2, I think I went through it like 3 times it was that good. Hoping the third installment is just as good :)

    Woop!

The original Mafia was a sensational game, Mafia 2 was very good (not quite as good as the original though). Can't wait for this one - hopefully it'll be good.

Bought Mafia 2 last night on Steam reduction to dip my toe in the filth-ridden water. I thought 2 was meant to be a big improvement over 1...?

I enjoyed both mafia games, looks 60s/70s from that banner & I'm guessing 4th quarter 2016 release.

    Where did you hear that?

Mafia 2 is an alright game but I found it to be a backward step gameplay and story wise. The omission of Free Ride and Free Ride Extreme severely reduced the game's replayability. Once the story is finished thats it, game over, there is little to no reason to keep the game installed.

Mafia 2 I enjoyed, It had some free rides you just did not head straight for the next mission you could explore if you liked.

Mafia 3 could be very good we shall see i guess.

Good question, I thought it was from some reviews on metacritic, but looking again it seems not.

I can't be the only one who enjoyed shooting cops and robbing clothes stores?

You are not alone - I loved the game too. It was very enjoyable to do get one over on those smug shop assistants.

Wasn't something I ever thought I'd like as I really dislike 'gangster' films and tv shows. I only installed it as I got a free code with a graphics card.

I finished the game a couple of times, but it's been quite a while since I played it. I think it might be time to re-install it and give it a blast.

If III gets good reviews then I shall definitely be purchasing it.

I'm not so keen on how far in time they've jumped forward. One of the things I loved about 1 especially was that the cars were so dam awful to drive, just as they would have been at the time. This meant getaways and driving in general was more of a challenge than say on GTA. I also love that time period so I'm sad that they're moving away from it.

I'm sure it'll be a great game, but i imagine the whole feel of the game to be very different from the previous 2.
