It probably does, but it looks like it was on daily deals.

Not so much bought but procured from the R&D guy's bits box, a small toggle switch to be fitted into the doorbell to allow me to turn it on and off without removing the battery.

Carol singers will be becoming a more common occurrence in the next few weeks and I would much rather wallow in miserable turd silence than the strained caterwauling of urchins.

Picked up a 70mm ducted fan for a small side project, supposed to have 1.1-1.4kg of thrust apparently. Should be fun to play around with.

Well it does spin, and the back does recline - is that what you mean? But the box, manual and warranty all make a big deal about it being an "occasional only" chair (apparently that means 2-4 hours a day...) so I doubt it'd make a good office chair.

It probably was; pretty much the only time you can get this kind of stuff in Aldi is if you happen to be there at the right time, or you relentlessly search out their offers.

    Nice Noctuas, Waynio.
I have a PWM 80mm Redux lined up for a rear exhaust on my snail pace project. :dremel:
I think the severe grey look is great, I still have difficulty with the standard Noctua fan colours, however good they are.

How do those feel compared to the official deal? I bought a knockoff cheaply and threw it in the bin shortly after, felt terrible. Although I could just make an adapter or something, i'm kinda lazy.

Bought them from Spain with priority international shipping. I'll do a quick review once I have them in hand. I spent quite some time reading classic USB gamepad review and those ones looks like a great product. Unlike Tomee or retrolink, they don't use cheap plastic. The shape and size is the same than the original and buttons / D-pad are responsive with no missed diagonals, feeling is the same than the original (said the reviewers).

    Got a set of these:

£135 from a buy it now on ebay. They arrived brand new with the plastic wrap on everything including the lenses.
Had them for about a week now and am really impressed with the tech, but the software support feels very beta-esque. The Netflix app is impressive, but that's it. No YouTube support as yet.
The whole system feels pretty locked down too; as soon as you place your S6 in the dock, it launches up the Oculus software which has its own app ecosystem. Theres no way to get out of it into say a browser or any of your "normal" games.
Another thing; the PPI of the S6 (577) isn't enough!! When watching films in Netflix, you can see the edges of pixels. Maybe its more a limitation if the screen technology as in effect, the lenses in the headset are a pair of magnifying glasses so at any PPI, you'll likely see the pixels.

Despite all that though, you are literally blow-away the first time you put them on. VR is definitely where the future is. (But then I said that about 3d tvs too, so what do I know.)

Booting into your normal apps will just lead to some weird, messed up flat image - that's why it doesn't let you do that. PPI wise, loads of work to do there, CV1 will be better but the real progress will come with the 2nd, 3rd etc generation headsets.

You were wrong about 3DTV. You are right about VR.
