I can't help but feel that what you really need is a 15" CRT for that systems, preferably in beige, with matching keyboard and ball mouse. Oh, and the mouse has to be from Genius.

    19-21" triniton would be best.

But it would likely cause that desk to concertina into the floor :D

Funny how current reality distorts things. The first time I saw one in person I was simply blown away by the sheer scale of it... like - what sort of insane person could have this on their desk? I had a 19" at the time and even that seemed massive.

Now I have a 32" in front of me and having just measured out a 24" screen area on it leaves me thinking "wait... is that it?"

32" also happens to be the first time I was really impressed by a huge TV...

I wanted a Belinea 17". However the last one I bought lasted about two months before the backlight died. This was a few years back... I didn't want to go 19" because the resolution starts getting crazy.

I remember the Iiyama 17" CRT that I got from my grandad. It was white rather than beige. He upgraded to a slightly newer one that was a weird purple/blue combo based purely on the fact that the screen never displayed a perfect square, but rather a warped edged one. I to this day do not know if it was a fault with the display or if it was a normal thing back then. His new one did it too if I remember rightly.

Iiyama MF8617E CRT Monitor - I'm almost positive this is the one he gave to me. It was around €250 at the time.

You can adjust that inside mate. You can also give it extra brightness inside and a couple of other things. I know exactly what you are talking about. It's kinda like a pinched in square yes?

The last CRT I had was a 19" Philips Lightframe. I had it right up until I left the USA (2008).

I would buy a lot of stuff too, if the magic money tree would yield a heavier crop!
