As in usually recommended, high value, cheap (it was £25 I think), quiet and does a helluva job. (Yes other than the actual new Hyper Evo 212 haha.) I know 212 has a lone AM4 bracket / brace upgrade, but good luck trying to find one.
I went a few pound more for the 120mm Pure Rock, as it's easier to replace when the fan starts being noisy. For the same price on Scan it was a choice between that or the Hyper 212 Evo. I had the 212 last time and installing it was annoying as hell, and its fan started getting noisy eventually, so not exactly comparable to a be quiet fan.
Unless they've changed things, don't expect the bequiet to be less fiddly to fit ! I think you made the right choice going for a 120mm fan version.
I have a brand new bracket in a drawer . Also its " no longer available" on the CM store but they sell this kit instead https://www.cmstore.eu/spare-parts/...-pack-new-version-with-am4-but-no-socket-775/
Yes. It's always been available when I looked, but the postage costs more than the product to the point it would cost the same or even less buying something else and selling my 212.
Ugh, the clips are a bizarre mechanism. There's thousands of lost souls on YouTube comment sections looking for a video showing and explaining how to put them on. But now that I know, it should be ok. 2 fiddly screws is better than 4. Despite the fan being a bit askew it's still 15 - 20C less now.
I've installed about 20 CM 212/212 EVOs and I still get it wrong and swear a lot every time. I mean that's gotta tip you off that your design is dumb, when professional case builders still get it wrong every time. Or maybe I'm just an idiot, not sure.
