Scratch Build – In Progress purple-haze (as named by ediejo!!) update 5/11/2007 watercooling parts!!

next update in a short while!

 

well the time has come for the next update sooooo here goes!

i started off today with a helper my neighbours dog (she stayed with me all day!)


so let the work begin

i started out the day by painting the framework.



i then moved on to cutting out the acrylic for the windowed section

that left some horrible sides to the acrylic

so i sanded them down


i then prepped it for drilling



with that done i decided to go and finish up the fan that i painted yesterday


the next few photos can speak for themselves





i the marked out and drilled all of the panels




i then began the very arduous task of filing!
and by the end of today i have two pretty perfect sides (i only have a picture of the top!)

well people im here with the update from yesterday and monday.

i started off on monday by finishing the tedious task of filing down all of the edges getting them all perfect and smooth.


i then moved on to making a slot and holder in the front of the case for the dvd drive.



i then did another test fit of all the panels

Perfect!

thats all i got time for on monday so on to yesterday.

i started by half remaking the hdd cage as i realised you couldnt actually get a hdd in and out when the 2 sides where together so on with that.



much better


i then drilled the holes for riveting it to the bottom of the case.


and mounted


i then decided to butcher the rest of the fans and start to paint them(i still havent quite finished)



i then moved on to making a mobo tray


ha who needs to tap wholes! just use the screw and a wrench!


and joined to the case (i think it looks pretty sick!)


i then started to get the bottom and left hand side ready for paint but ahhhhh ii ran out of primer!


but it was ok my dad was on his way home and was near halfords so he stopped off for me!





well thats it for now i will hopefully get to mod more on sunday! so c+c welcome as usuall!

well people i have been busy trying to get sonsors for the watercooling of this baby.

and i have managed to secure 2 sponsors that will be announced properly soon!

anyway i dont have a proper update yet due to my girlfriend birthday celebrations beeing last weekend and re-enrolment at 6th form college and builders being at the house! but i will hopefully get something done this weekend. so stay tuned guys!
