Update! Here's some photos of what I have done, and what I am going to do. Here's the old At-case with some of the tools O have used Some buttons from the case that I am gonna use as Reset and start. The HK monted with spacers. Found out that the Agp-lock was very strong compared with the hk i'm use now, so I'm going to drop the AGP/PCI bracket. The dark sone will I saw off. I could borrow my uncles autosaw. Comments? I think I am going to saw tommorow.
Update! A picture of the beauty X800XT PE. I have planned to watercool this. A picture of the aluminumsbakplate that my uncle sawed out to me That's how the case looks like now.(I know the case looks skewed, but that's just temorary) The PSS open.(I think the component in there looks very fancy) Yeah, plexi is good! Maybe I am going to make a frosted effect on this to
Update: Frosted PSU Time for modding of the psu. I forgot to take pictures under the work, but here is the psu almost done. The white stripes is glue that is not dried yet.. The glue will be transparant when it is dried. .(HINT: Woodglue(It works)) In the "dark"
At this point I can't say almoust anything about your case, but I'm hoping that you mannage to build beautiful case BTW. You should wait that that glue dryes until you take any pics
Pelihirmu: Thanks. deadly-app: What do you mean with bad choices? BTW: Every peoples tastes is different
About PSU: When you "frosting" acrilic, you must do that over whole surface. It seems that your acrilic is "frosted" much more in the middle than on the edges and this isnt look good. Second thing is that you must use really fine sandpaper. If you dont, there will be deep scratches instead of smooth sanded surface. It needs a bit of patience.
The woodglue would be one of those such choices. Woodglue isn't made for bonding plastic, I think you will find that it will crack off of the plastic very easily. Even clear (think fishtank) silicone would have been better, if you don't have any access to "real" plastics cement.
or get a piece of wood and another piece of wood push the plexi between it clamp it en then heat it up with a blowdryer and bend it
Javadog got my point exactly. gluing rather then screwing it in or otherwise affixing it was a bad idea. Glue works on somethings, but on others it is a bad idea as it will end up looking very badly =\ For the sanding fine = frosted, sanding too fine keeps it clear, sanding it with 400-600 will give you a good look, and the scratches in the plexi, as long as you sand it evenly there wont be any...
Ok. I will begin to sand it with finer sandpaper. The sides will be glued with Araldite. I don't have the silicon-mass that you're talking about. Anyway, thanks for the comments I have got. Edit. I found some acryl-silicon, so I am plugging the mass now.
Pussed of the glue, filled with silicon and sanded with finer sandpaper What do you think? Is it better now?
