I have in long time planned to build a case of wood. I'm not a carpenter, actually I'm only 15 years old, but that is not a barrier. The dimension of the case is: 31(length) x 45(height) x 18(breight). My english is not the best, so if you can correct me when i'm speaking bad, that wood be great :thumb:

    (The pictures is clickable)
I was so lucky that i got some sponsors :D

It will circa be like this. I haven't glued it together jet. I think I am going to use some epoxy 2coponents glue.

I have used most of my time to saw up the stuff. Everything is handsawed. Also the chassis. I'm tired now. Any comments?

You should borrow a plane to smooth that wood; if you haven't used it before it will be a little tricky to use it to smooth your cuts; work from tips to center and use a very sharp edge and have it take really thin wood slices; the person who lends it to you will be able to give you further tips.

you should better stop this mod or redo it, cause that is not really cut straight
as a noob you shouldnt start a casemod like that, you see you havent really worked much with wood
btw, thats another piloux lookalike mod
i hope you can fix that

This seems overly harsh! we were all noobs at one point so let him get his prctice, buy the looks in his last pics he used wood filler and it apears to be much nicer, and who cares if hes copying piloux. Keep on modding friend and eventualy you wil get better :thumb:

mr hanky... now how the H*ll do you know that it isn't the effect he wants? besides, with som sanding it might turn out great! I have seen sooo many projects in this forum looking rather shabby when they start off, but looks great when they are finnished. like for instance the previous mod of the month. maybe you are telling the maker of the next mod of the month to trash the "Noob" mod and start over....

Illvit, I think you should continue the mod, and just show guys like mrhanky that they are wrong. good luck.

sorry but if this is just practise, i doesnt need to post it here
youre right i was i little bit harch, well, im still
if you post a project on a forum you need to be sure youre eye for detail is good

i hope you follow my advice
you should cut it with an automatic saw, cause it aint straight

Thanks for the good spupport. I am just 15 years old and have not more money to spend on tools. My budsjet is blast :blah:

    But here is a update.

    Update nr.2 12.12.2004

I took from the saw and sawed. The stuff back is two aluminiumsfilter(120mm). I tride to hide the fanfilterholes, and make the form a little bit rounder.

With plexi! (The plexi will I have to light blue. Maybe I can drill some holes with the dremmel and use tape to fasten a light to it. Have bought some blues THC-leds. link: http://www.lsdiodes.com/THC3/ If somebody knows if that will work? Maybe explain a better methode.)

I don't have any ATX case. Just a case from the last centures. Have to use the some pci-places from that.

ahhght :miffed: The chassis is loose. Have to glue it together(again..)

Here are some sleeves from USA. The were shrinked alleredy when I got then :wallbash: Does anybody knows how to enlarge the sleeves again??

A tupperware copy. It's a Eheim Compact 600 pump inside. Have thought to put it over the psu like one the picture. The colour does't pass in because the teame is Arctic. Think I will take a chance, broke the garaunti and spray it whitt

I'm actually kind of impressed, this kid is only 15 and he only has a hacksaw and hand saw. If I tried something like this when I was 15 I would have burned the house down or cut off a few fingers.
Mod on brother, I wish you the best of luck on your project. :thumb:
