Hy guys. A beatiful welcome to everybody by G69T, the creator of Spider's Web. I would like to introduce you, with a few lines, my home made case. This modding was created in aluminium and worked with CNC tools machine. The most part of the pieces could be fixed all togheter with joint. Following we can see the pictures of the Spider's Web about we're speaking. Z O O M Z O O M The first part of the home worked modding is the top of the case. Cad-Cam project We obtain the entire job starting from a aluminium flat (10 mm. thick) IMG 640x480 The top was mill in two parts; the bottom we obtain the external profile and the spider's web. On the oter side was milled the spider image. IMG 640x480 IMG 640x480 IMG 640x480 At least the picture of the finished top on the CNC machine. IMG 640x480 External part of the top. ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM Internal part of the top. ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM The top, and all the parts of the Spider'S Web, sould be anodyzed after a hand making polishing. Back for the sequel in a few time. Thenks everybody... Bye Gianluca
Very impresive! This being the "project logs" section of the forums, I hope the sequel will have your original planning stages, how you went about the designing process etc. Would also like to see how you assembled the unit and how the parts were all fitted inside. As this type of process is way out of your avareage modders league it would be nice to see how a mod like this comes about? Would also be nice to know what sort of costs are involved for others to attemp a mod like this. This is a very professional job well done.
Very high quality stuff. /me wishes he had a CNC mill. Ditto DÈF¥âÑt¸.·´¯`¤. It would be good to see conceptual ideas about this case. The only point where you have let yourself down that I can see is the generic drives. You've gone to such an effort to make a really nice standout case and then just paint the standard drive fronts (You may have almost got away with it if they were the same type of drive) I think that either stealthing the drives or at the very least making 2 identical facias for the drives would improve the looks. Awesome work tho. Out of my league.
I like it, very neat looking, I'm starting to notice cube type cases are starting to be come popular.
Welcome to the forums G69T, I have seen an earlier version of this case that you did a few months back on an Italian site (and also in PC Fun magazine I think?). Very Impressive design. I've moved this thread to Modding, as per the rules for Project Logs, as finished mods/cases belong here. PL's is for full worklogs only. Keep up the good work!
yeah!!!!!!! i personally see the spider web @ ngilan04....well...that's great...as the producer(g69t) the spider web win the modding contest @ ngilan....that's all! i think it's fantastic....but...some modder's didnt understund the concept of spider web......becouse it's made by cnc machine....well...i think that the modding have some face of realization......someone modd by a finish product...other build it...........in all case of it...it's modding and the personal touch(professional or not) it's the most important thing!
is that custom-done wire sheathing in there? got any pics of the inside (if theres anything abnormal/special/cool about it)?

It's only a time problem: at the moments the Optical Device are semply painted; in future you'll see what I'm preparring. I'd like to post all the fases that permit me to create the Spider's Web, and I remand you to the sequel. About costs: Not so expansive. I normally use the CNC machine for my job... After hours btw 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. every night for six months: and all's done , really not so easy but very interesting for me too bye
