Think I'll buy a backplate for mine after seeing that.

It's one of the reasons I went with the stock cooler - they all come with backplates :)

    Edit: like this:

I looked apon the purchase of the backplate as an investment to protect the investment Pookey :thumb: :D

i got the msi 980 from scan. there's no backplate, but i plan on attaching this nzxt g10 to it.

Is there a back plate i can buy to go on the back of it which will help with anything other than aesthetics?

I'm loving how well it drives 3440x1440, it's smoother than my 680 was at 1920x1200.

    All in all? No.

For clarity though the CS rep that I live-chatted with was very helpful.

    But.

I decided to contact them today as hadn't heard anything and the status was stuck at "At supplier".

Turns out that was an error.

Was told they wont be getting any more Gainward cards, would I like something else? I'd have to pay the difference though. :wallbash: :wallbash:

Refund it is then as I paid £360 for the card.

That will be the last time I use Scan.

Sorry to hear that. I also had a problem with Scan last year and now do not use them unless they are the only supplier. And to think they won awards for their customer service in the past.

Sorry to hear that MeddlE :sigh:

I would concur totally with Glenn on this as I'm now of the very same opinion, with reference to brand of card - the only three I'd personally go with are Asus, EVGA or OCUK in house variety purely because of the warranties and hassle free RMA's in the event of.

I've got to say that I'm just not feeling the love for spending £90 more for the card at the moment.

I am thoroughly chuffed with my OCUK GTX 980 definitely a worthy upgrade from the 670.
