    As promised, an update

Okay, so I didn't have time to dry test my new kit - but I agree with you all and that's a must before I start hacking and modding!

Today I completed a couple of small jobs:

I lapped my blocks, here's what it looked like before

    and after:

Then I got to work with my new toy:

As I explained before the case has a bevel to the front, so I want to keep the drive bay cover in keeping with this shape. The following pics tell the story:

I then heated the plexi with my gun :dremel: and clamped it against the drive bay covers to get the correct curve. This wasn't easy, hence no pics. Eventually I got the desired curve.

Next I made an aluminium DVD drive tray cover, this will of course be visiting the chrome meister :naughty:

There's still lots to do on this particular part of the mod and I've got an idea to liven up the areas between the Aquero and DVD drive tray. I'm afraid an etching is not really an option, so I've got an alternative idea........... watch this space.

PS. Having reservations about the name - anybody got any better ideas?

I can't see Aquacomputer anymore right now. I'm waiting more then a month now for my stuff :waah: :waah: :waah: I can't mod on without the AQ parts, I need them for the precise sizes of the blocks. :wallbash: :wallbash:

Try contacting Jessica at Leftclicks.co.uk I'm pretty sure she'd ship to the Netherlands. I know PayPal costs a bit but for me it was much cheaper than the cost of a Euro bank transfer (I guess that might not be true for you though).

Worth a try, I'd say :thumb:

I ordered it directly from Aqua computers in Germany and its already paid for. They didn't have the two aquagraFX 6800 Revision 2 coolers.

your son rox pizza hut rox and i want lunch there in my birthday too

    well back to mod :dremel:

i think your h20 flow will decrease a lot... unless your pump is bigh enough for that task... perhaps another pump will help a lot

    something like this:

cpu and video 1 with one pump and one radiator

video 2 mobo and hdd with anothe pump and another radiator should be fine...

Its 10mm diameter tubing it will be fine with the one pump ,2 pumps on 10mm is overkill unless you have a excess of blocks and this dosent appear to be excessive. :hehe:

P.s 10mm ac and innovatek is designed to work well with low flow systems,

Nice mod so far cant wait to see it with every thing in :D

:hehe: :hehe: :hehe: There seems to be a very critical visitor on Bit-tech Xarig, my rating dropped quite a bit too. But who cares, just keep up the good work and have fun modding.

 As promised here are some more pics:

I took your collective advice and built up the rig for a 'dry run':

I love the way the motherboard reflects in the floor - can't wait to see it with the cooling loop in place :D

    Feel the power :naughty: :naughty:

    Okay ready to go.

    Let's fire her up......

    She's alive!

'raw' drivers, no tweaking or overclocking yielded a 3Dmark05 score of 8915 :) can't wait to see what this can really achieve.

Why do you have the ram in single channel?! Come to think of it.. that ram is really wierd looking too... the only thing with top similar to that I've seen is the Corsair Pro which that certainly isn't.

Anyways, glad to know it works.

The A8N can overclock quite well if you don't try and run 1T ram timings... which should be fixed with the upcoming (or maybe even released by now) 1007 bios. And anyways, you just CAN'T fit a chipset waterblock to the DFI since it would hit the second graphics card, which is a big downer for it.

The ram is - Corsair 1GB DDR XMS4400 TwinX (2x512MB) CAS2.5 (TWINX1024-4400C25PT) (MY-068-CS) ....and there's another 1GB on the way, arriving tomorrow I hope :naughty: :naughty:

Not quite sure what you mean about the single channel? This is the way the maual said two DIMMS should be installed  Seems to work :thumb:

I'm pretty new to the whole overclocking scene - thought I'd jump in with both feet :worried: :worried: What are 1T ram timings?

Firehed, just checked the manual again, definatley nned to install DIMMs in DIMM_A1 and DIMM_B1 (chapter2-11). The sum of A1 + A2 must be the same as B1 + B2 to get the dual channel enhanced performance.

Yes the manual says:"When using two DDR DIMM modules, install into DIMM_A1 DIMM_B1 slots only"

They're snug in the blue ones.

Why do they get bumped down? Where can I find out more about this?

    Thanks
