Right.. i'm off to buy one :p

Went from a MBP to a MB because the MBP lost their allure when the MBs came out, but now with the new MBPs. I think it's time to upgrade!

i was so excited for this release, but then i was disappointed that apple didn't release a 13" MBP! i guess it would take away sales from the MB if they did but dang it, i want a smaller laptop with the beautiful all aluminum body!!!!

WWDC is apples world-wide development conference. They usually release software-orientated products (think OSX 10.5 Leopard) but expect announcements about the iphone + others.

Yeah, but companies/websites etc often get hardware early to allow them to have their review ready for launch day.
Just ask Tim, he's almost constantly under NDA for one thing or another... :D

But still, anyone seen any reviews?? :)

Apple never do that, they are prehaps the most secretive organisation out there.

Ah well, guess it'll be a few days before any reviews pop up on the web then?

Yeah, pretty much airchie. Although there's not much to learn from reviews - we already know LED backlit screens are awesome.

My mate's girlfriend JUST bought one last week and is waiting for it to be delivered. Think I should inform them of this? Seems a bit harsh not to be told when ordering it.

I would imagine if they are waiting for it, it is because they are getting the new one. Thats generally how apple do it. I would tell them to ring anyway just to make sure.

Apple are very good and will almost certainly swap it for the current one.

Hm... wonder if I'll get an upgrade when I have to send my MBP in for repairs again (the third time...) Doubt it, but it would sure be nice. About time they replace the thing even if just for an equivalent model - this is getting downright stupid.

I'd like to see one of these LED-backlit models though. The one snippet I've read about these new systems is that it seems a bit brighter, but I don't know enough about them to know if they're actually all they're cracked up to be without seeing one firsthand.

i believe apple have a three strikes policy on repairs - if it has to be sent in for repairs three times, it's replaced. you might want to give them a nudge :)

Depends on the problems if its three of the same one you are more likely to get somewhere.
