What about cutting out or maybe etching your dad's nick name into the side or into the top?

Or you can cut out "1337" or "LEET" In one of the bay plates (don't know the english word for them..). then you can insert some sanded plexi and eluminate it from the side (like the side door in my project).

Owkee. On 23/05/2004 I will cut out RED out on the top of the case. (RED=nickname of my dad). I don't think I can do anything more because I got to go somewere that day

 

How old is your dad? That's so cool to have a dad that wants you to mod a case for him, and that he plays quake! My dad only plays Generals (since he is an offices in NATO?) and solitere....

 

Thing's I will try to change about this case:
~~~~On the top cut out the word RED
~~~~Spray on the other sidepanel in silver color (logo quake) U.A.K.E
~~~~Try to spray the case in rust style
~~~~The fangrill of the PSU spray the quake logo on it
~~~~Try to make the AT case to an ATX (going to be hard)
~~~~Go around the cutted out eged's with a soldering iron to let it look like it's cutted out with a laser .

If you have any idea's they are welcome.

I wasn't suggesting it was. There's been a lot of this lately, and there are two threads running about this already: One guy went from + something, to -45 overnight. Someone's just giving out random negative points for no apparent reason it would seem.

Looking good so far... Personally I don't see the need/relevance (sp?) of flames for this case though.

 

No the idea of the flames was to be on "project RED" (that will be my next mod). First I had in mind to make an case with my dad's nickname RED. But when he comes home from his job I talked to him and he sayd "HHMMMMM but a case with a quake logo on quake stuff I think it would end better. Because this is your first MOD and that isn't so hard to do". So I am bussy making a 'quake machine'.

Erm.... thats the quake 2 logo........ The Quake logo has 1 vertical line for the Q, Quake 2 has 2 and Quake 3 has 3..........

As for colour, the ONLY way to go is a rusted finish. You want to end up with a battered, rusted old box to fit the theme of the game. Oh, and UV red stuff would be nice to fit your dads NIC, as well as red CCFLs.

I know about the lines. I picked the quake 2 logo becuase it is in my opinion the best quake game. And thanks for those links for the connectors and stuff.

 

Well I am sorry to say I will not get to the modding today.( Well maybe in the evening but that's not sure ). I will keep you up to date to everything that will change or is changed.
