Cool, where? I've been through the whole box! I'm new to the stars thing as I've imported all my Ninty stuff before. Just the talk about being able to convert them to Wii points got me checking.
Free points? What? Do you have to register using those cards that come with the console? (the ones with the bit you rub off?)
the Wii kicks ass. put about 24 hours on it straight and my arms are KILLING ME. plit that down the middle between wii sports and zelda. the VC is cool too. NES SNES SEGA N64 TurboGrafx ports for the GC controler dual movement sensative control. the posabilityies are countless. does feel a little gimicky in Zelda though but thats probebly due to the fact that its basicly a port of a GC game. and some of the sound coming out of the wiimote was a little staticy and crackly, but i like the concept. imagine if the do a horror game and the wiimote starts whispering evil thoughts to you WOOHOO i havent had a console since the N64 but it looks likeim guna buy mii a wii
Thats the one(s) http://www.nintendo-europe.com/NOE/en/GB/register/index.jsp you get stars for just going on the site, I dont think there going to do 1 star for 1 Wii point, but that would be **** hot
You get "Free Stuff"(tm). Basically you use your stars to download things like phone ring tones etc. There is however occasionally decent things like you can buy DS games or something with them.
Yep for 5000 points recently there was Age of Empires for the DS 'available'. Its a shame that most of the time the stuff on there is rubbish compared to the things available in the Japanese store but thats just pretty standard anyway.
Getting one for XMAS now. Went to town with me mam today and found the 2nd to last one. Got Zelda, Rayman, Tony Hawks and SUper monkey ball with it. But I'm probably going to change TH and SMB after chrimbo! Seriously happy now
Doug, don't forget, if it was from GAME you can no longer trade the games in after you have played them for the full retail value (they used to do that don't like it trade it in within 10 days thing). One of the guys and the missus' work managed to get a Wii by calling around GAME stores in the end and trying to pin point delivery dates.
Nah, Gamestation. I did double check with the guy and he said it'll be alright, I can change em for any other Wii game because the original offer was for any 4 wii games. He said I can hurt his boss if another store doesn't change em.
Woohoo! My housemate managed to pick up a Wii yesterday...it was the last one in the shop (well, it's actually the display model, but he knows the bloke that owns the place, and managed to convince him to let him have it). It's pretty cool. Just got Wii Sports atm, but should be picking up Wii Play today. Just out of interest, what's everyones best Bowling score? I managed 249 last night (and got 7 strikes in-a-row!) [edit] and last night managed to make a 7-10 split!
239's my best here... and congrats on the 7-10 conversion. That's impressive. My best line is straight over the first arrow, then have the ball hook into the 1-3 pocket. It's impressive how consistent that the game demands you to be in order to generate results, though-- just like actual bowling.
Cheers man The line I've been taking is to move 7 'clicks' to the left, then bowl with max speed and quite a lot of right spin. The ball ends up spinning inbetween the 1 & 2 pins. But yeah, you need to be really consistent with it...I'm thinking I may try another line.
You left-handed? I tend to go towards the rightmost marker and put a ton of left spin on it - same idea. I got *really* close to a perfect game with it. The training mode with the widening lane is really the most fun though imo
I find that if I hold the wiimote at a right tilt, and swing correctly, letting go of B just after the bottom of my swing it flies great. I just need consistency. I did go pro on Tennis last night tho. Also, when you play with less then 4 people, extra Miis are added behind you, those Miis are from your Mii Plaza. Try releasing the ball behind you aswell and wait for a second. See what happens
