Bit of an eclectic mix for me..

Not my normal thing but I quite like the mix of lyrical styles on this one (tried a few of their other songs and not really feeling them)

    (Younger Simone Simons (EPICA)...)

Really getting into Infected rain as well... Might have something to do with the tattooed lead singer...

    Also new Wolfheart..

Forgetting to turn off my music when going onto a Skype call for work is always interesting... :hehe::hehe:

I was having trouble with this guy. What I mean is I can't stand that modern rap stuff. However, I saw him in a movie and he's a decent actor. Really made me laugh. This however? whole new level of respect.

Respect for butchering the song so well? Sorry, mate. Post is probably the worst rapper in history and has just proven to us he has the musical talent of... well, nothing I can think of compares to him. Even a rock can hit a note sometimes, while Post obviously can't.

Stuck in my head for days now. Hedegaard is the underrated remix artist behind the explosively famous remix of Dre's 'Next Episode' that got memed into the stratosphere. This is one of his actual original albums. It's all dumb but oddly gratifying.

A "forgotten gem" of sorts in my library. Disney soundtrack moments and all.

I've been on the fence about buying his music on vinyl for a long, long time now. There's something that keeps me from doing so. Even though I have all albums and several singles/EPs by James Blake and James Vincent McMorrow, who dabble in a similar kind of music. Maybe I'll rethink after listening all the way through this.

I'd send you a picture of my Sohn vinyl collection but some of it is in storage while I lived in the US.
As soon as I get my own crib they'll be hopping right back onto a record player.
I pre-ordered this record too. Should be on it's way by now.

And now for something different, no particular artist, but been listening this evening to the Atmos Music tracks on Tidal.

When DVD-A was first a thing I invested in it, and it was pretty cool for a bit, but a lot of the multi-channel releases were a bit gimmicky. The only disc I still have to this day is Linkin Park Reanimation (and actually I have no idea how I can actually play it today) which is IMO one of the best examples of the format.

So when I heard Tidal had added a bunch of tracks with Atmos surround, I was a bit meh.

But actually, most of it is quite subtle yet very effective. There's the odd track that sounds like I've just switched on one of the up-mixers, but most of it is very good - adds "atmosphere", and height/scale to great effect, without being a gimmick.

I'm fortunate enough to have an AV system which does a cracking job of imaging with 2ch stuff, but this really adds something to that.
