Thank you. I had a banana almost an hour ago, and I'm not feeling queasy - it's early yet, but I am hopeful :thumb:

RetroPie. Man, whoever came up with that wacky controller config needs their head examined, it totally messes up MAME. All that time spent copying ROMs on seems to have been a complete waste of my time...

Apparently i'm a 'Hipster' now. Just because I was on the Bus, playing my Gameboy. Some punky girl on her 3DS thought it was alright to go "You're playing on a Gameboy? You're a bit of a Hipster, eh?" and i'm like "Not really, I like my old gameboy." She seemed interested so I then proceeded to nerd out and tell her how I put a backlight on the screen and built an amplifier internally. I don't think that helped her assumption. On the flip side, she seemed impressed and she was hot.

Being called a hipster is not necessarily a good thing in my books.

So what is a hipster then?
In my day they were trousers that sat on your hips unsurprisingly.

I doubt that girl was flirting. I'm way too unattractive for that.

I did have another problem today though. My daughter's verbal diarrhoea is getting worse. She's being assessed for ASD and one of her things is that she doesn't seem to know how to be quiet for a moment. When she's sitting playing on her DS, when she's drawing, walking or even getting dressed she's still talking. She even talks whilst she's eating, in between bites. She even talks in her sleep sometimes. I understand why people with ASD children get carer's allowance now - I imagine they use it to drink, a lot.

I jest, I wouldn't do that, no matter how tempting it sounds.

Having to pretend to be happy when all around is giant neon reminders of how skint and miserable I am. It's as if the entirety of December is designed to rub it in my face.

    Merry ****ing Chirstmas...

Oh, and my phone's broken... and neither the network nor the oem want anything to do with despite it still being in warranty...

So that, combined with several things I can't list and I can't even work myself up to being miserable.

My son found the "Charley Chatty and the Wiggly Worry Worm" to be very useful. Not sure how old your daughter is but it struck a chord with him.

Girls are strange creatures. You know all those times you fancied that girl your friends thought ugly? Girls do that too.

I dated a very attractive girl once - she laughed at me when I commented on our different levels of attractiveness and told me to never underestimate myself. You shouldn't either.
