What car commercials make you wanna throw your tv out the window?

I would have to choose the VW rabbit commercial with all the vehicles and that song "the birds and the bees" , it really makes me want to get rid of every tv I own.

 

i really love the honda adverts especially the 'hate something, changs something make something BETTER!!!' lol...i dont sing it when it comes on tv, ever.

The Honda and Citroen ones are great, although I can't stand the current 'big-small' Yaris one... the Micra one when it was on was bad too.

 

Car commercials tend to be the best too - pretty much every Honda advert, including the choir singing the sound of a Honda and the one where all the parts of the Accord rolled into each other. The full length one went on for a good minute and a half.

Also the Golf singing in the rain advert...

But I hate the big/small yaris one too.

 

Honda: Cog (I lost the DVD!! )
Honda: Love/Hate
Honda: 2 minute song with Honda vehicles ending in the air balloon.

Honda marketing manager = GENIUS! And the guy that VA's it all is a god damn legend in his own right.

 

I cant stand that honda love/hate advert. its a nice tune the first time you hear it but after a while you just want to rip your ears from the side of your head.

The audi adverts are anoying too, when they just have a car driving up to the screen and a loud noise

the citroen adverts are good, with the dancing car. I saw a spoof of that with an old citroen, does any1 know where i can find it?

edit: and the girl from the renault cleo advert makes it a brilliant add

 

ah but they're doing the job.. you haven't forgotten it

 

My faves, are:
1) VW's crying in the rain, that was genius
2) Honda's Cog - what a classic!
3) The new Honda one where he drives loads of stuff and ends in a balloon, the full version is great, and even the short one is pretty kickass.
4) Audi adverts, especially for A8's
5) New Lexus GS350 ad, only because it's a no-nonsense ad.

Hates:
Honda's "Hate something, change something" - started off well, didn't last long though.
ALL Focus adverts. (Not really an advert for a car) The Shell advert with Patrick Stewart on the voiceover, it's got loads of sports-people in it too. Grr.

The Honda adverts are all fantastic, but a lot of people don't actually know they're for Honda. I hate the Yaris advert as much as most of you, but I expect it gives a better return on Toyota's advertising investment than the Honda adverts do. Sad really

Second best goes to the long honda singing one ending with the balloon.

My favourite car commercial ever was the Ford one in the early 90s that had Brian May's "Driven by You" as the score. Not because the commercial was groundbreaking in any way, it's just that it embodied what Ford meant to me at teh time: Pushing boundaries with the Cosworth Sierra, and the then recent addition of the Escort version, and having the balls to make something exciting without fear of the insurance companies, or political correctness.

Oh... and I LOATH the dancing Citroen robot thing.

 

Love all the Honda ones, the hate something one was legendary! I thought it was getting on for 2 years old but have seen it on again recently. Have had my title as it is now since I first saw it.

I'm with pooks. The Kia adverts are incredibly annoying, although I suspect they're aimed at the fairer sex.

There's a Peugeot advert with a very heavy metal/electronic song on it out right now(much kudos to anyone if they can name it) that I really like. I also love the Honda adverts of late. They almost always bring a smile to my face.

Adverts are really great, because the advertisers are given so much freedom these days. Certain adverts(O2 ones spring to mind) are extremely well made, and are very creative. Adverts are almost better then much of the stuff on TV these days just because they're so damn creative.

 

basically all honda adverts, their marketing department is incredible, plus the vw singing in the rain was a classic, the renault cleo advert with the guy and the women is awesome too as he's cool and she's mighty fine ;D

I liked the new grande punto ad but only because it's quite a sexy punto ;P
