Hi you guys. I was wondering, if it would be a bad idea to build a LCD screen straight into the side of a midi-tower? Thank you
well like any thing else, if its a job well done, then i'll say its worth it. though what about the circuitry/wiring and stuff?
ooo touch screen would be good. and if you have vista, maybe you could somehow put that screen as your sideshow screen .
I've mounted a 15" TFT I got from eBay (for 7€) on the side of my old computer. It was so cheap because the inverter was broken (replaced it with one of those CCFL inverters). Since I bought that screen for just 7€ I got an idea. Why not get at least 4 screens of the same size and build a cube case... with TFT's as walls! I haven't started with that, so if you want to build a TFT into a case and still want to do something new, you might want to build this TFT cube yourself
And to really make it special put a small webcam on the inside on all 4 sides so you can still look inside
no what you need to do is the james bond trick with the invisible car you mount the camera on the opposite panel to the screen so that it shows the picture as if it wasn't there.... the left panel would show the picture from the right webcam and the right panel would show the picture from the left webcam as if there was no case there.......
just wondering how would you connect these monitors up???? what sort of internal monitor connection would you be able to use...... or would it just be a case off filling the pci slots with lots of low grade graphics cards
Depends on what you want to show on the 4(5) screens. If you want a nximum of 2 different pictures, you can use one video card and split the cables so that the two pictures (modern video cards can connect two VGA screens) are shown on the 4 monitors. If you want a different picture for every screen you need at least two video cards with dual screen support (if u have 4 monitors, else 3 cards to get all 5 working). I don't know if windows can handle multiple video cards, but Linux can!!
I am tempted to give it a try but don't have any money..... anyone to donate to it I need £600 to get it up and running with water cooling
come on if 60 people give a tenner then it will become a reality if 60 people donate £20 then I make it touch screen and put better then the lowest of the low components
lol!! just walk around the streets of wherever you live with an 'nspcc' rattle bucket thing for a few weeks and your sorted!!! lol
