I don't mind at all. It's not criticism, it's your opinion-your point of view. In fact, I agree. At this point I can only tell you what I am thinking about doing. And that is to "tie-together" the IL clutch cover and the mnpctech grill with a "round-sweeping" length of red acrylic.. What I can show you is an idea I have for the red acrylic:
this is my FIRST TIME EVER TRYING TO PAINT THIS "TRUE FIRE STUFF".. I watched the DVD and gave it a go on a length of scrap red acrylic. "Back painting" is the term (I think)..
the paint side. This true-fire is a difficult technique, I need MUCH MORE PRACTICE!!

back-painting acrylic compounds the problem (learning curve) because your limited to (2) colors, black and white and the shades in between. Where as with a regular TF paint job we would be talking about 4-5 colors and 5-6 layers of paint...
    anyway: flip side:

not an update just an idea.. It looks like something, not sure if it's flame..:hehe: I need to practice the technique..But it has possibilities!
Sorry, no update this weekend. I have to work, but vacation is coming very soon..

LOL , even MS have something to learn! It's an interesting technique, and the flame design is just a suggestion, but with a little more practice, i suppose the result will be stunning!

Well, no doubt you are really. As for computerking, I think he's not... He seems to me like, by he's behaviour, that he trully is a bot. Spamming around... Why is it that each and every single thread has his reply at the last page, begging for an update? :wallbash:

Great work there man, keep it up

    brass and chrome

Here's what I have been working on. Instead of using painted acrylic to "tie" together the chrome on the side panels, I am thinking of using brass sheet. I got the idea from IL's work:
    IMHO, they work well together..
    So:
    sheet bronze .032" thick
Decided to start on the top mounted reservoirs. Removed:
for the design I want 5mm on three sides and a "tongue" up front.

Overall I think it looks pretty cool. I like the brass and chrome contrast. BUT, not sure about the tongue up front.. I will have to look and think..I may just square off the front like the back..
    Thats it for this update.

    until next time..
