Looks good, but I'm sure there are more places to add acrylic.:naughty:

In the early days I was lead to belive this was going to be a cheap n quick mod, but its become an epic mod, with a whole lot of well executed ideas and forthought.
I didnt think the blue and UV orange would work, but the two compliment each other in a strange way.
Excellent acrylic work and immense details...

But out of everything you've done, the one thing that does it for me and the fact that u left it there is the fan spot at the back in all its crooked glory...marvellous stuff oh and the weird thingy up the top, very art deco.

Outstanding mod....you deserve another crack at MotM, you really deserve it.

Heheh, "all its crooked glory." Guess that's a mod befitting of Cheapskate. It really is a wonderful project. Well done!

    Thank you everybody!
    @EEL - I am!
@Tile - I don't remember that part.:worried: You would think someone named 'cheapskate' would get more for his soul... I'm not Bill Gates, My health still sucks, and I'm not married to Jessica Alba. -Where's the recipt?!!
@Darkend - I'm cleaning up Hypnotoad for now. I seem to recall reading through one of your logs 'til my eyes hurt.:D
@ROB 636 - NOOOO! This case is at the limit my back can handle! I need to fix my antique computer desk already. It creaks and wobbles with this and the 21" CRT on it.
@sethnmalice - I really was joking about that being an mistake. Why do you not belive me?! Now I can BOMB at the next Mod of the Year. :hehe: I'll be last place because of all the laser cut/custom circuit/exotic material cases being built here right now. I SHOULD get an award for 'most work put into an outdated system.'

    Thanks guys!
@MonkeyNutZ - Yeeahhh... The blank stare seems appropriate for me. The new board takes forever to detect my KVM switch. So there's a 'Duuuuuuuuuh' moment.:D
    @Thacrudd - 50,000 of which are probably mine.:hehe:

I'm tired and my eyes hurt from staring at too many pictures of bright orange plexi, but in hindsight I think it was worth it. A fantastic looking case for an aging system, but then again new hardware is so expensive...

    Tis a beaut, congrats.

    Cheaps,
I keep coming back and looking at the final shots. This is just a masterpiece. More so because you did it several times - admitting mistakes earns my props - and the fact that you did it without the "available technology" of laser cuts, H20 jets, and exotic tools. Props to you young one. :thumb: What to do next? SFF? Keyboard? Mouse? My O2 tank? ROFL

    Thanks guys.
@Moriarty - I keep taking shots for my outdated equipment. *looks down...* I couldn't update and use the same waterblock. Nothing has a footprint that big anymore.
@jhanlon303 - I have to admit mistakes sometimes, It's a big part of why the design changes sometimes. I come off sounding like a self-centered know it all all ready. If I don't admit my mistakes I'll look like a REAL pr*ck.:hehe:
No exotic tools? are you crazy? It's time for a list anyway. Let's see... I used:
-Wet-cut handheld masonry saw*(*=I consider these really exotic)
    -Tile saw*
    -rotary table*
    -table saw
-drill press & every other freaking drill in the house
    -rotozip router
    -dremel
    -home made dremmel buffing wheels
    -benchtop buffing wheel/grinder
    -mill bits
    -cross slide vise
    -scroll saw
    -needle files, real files
-sandpaper, plastic polish brick, DuPont polishing goo, Comet cleanser (pre-polish), Novus polish
-toilet bowl cleaner (to de-tarnish NB block)
    -propane torch, pipe solder
-soldering iron, Hair dryer (for shrink wrap)
    -heat gun (RIP)
    -hacksaw, pipe cutter, vice, C-clamps
    -pop riveter
-drill bits, rotary hole saws, diamond drill bits
-my teeth:D ,various knives, sharpened pipe
-rulers, t-squares, 4' drafting edge, tape measures, ulra-fine point sharpie pens, compass, circle template
-silicone glue, epoxy glue, plexi glue, some nipped clear nail polish, rubbing alcohol, paint thinner, spit, q-tips, Vinegar (pipe cleanup), Mr bubble (leak testing) rit dye, 3-in-1 oil, sweat, and tears, (no blood! a zero injury mod.:D)

All you guys on BT just crack me up! I had wood shop and metal shop in the early 60s. Good thing those teachers can't see some of the mis-uses of tools we do. LOL. all I need to know I learned from Bit-Tech :clap: ROFL
