Because playing as a jedi isn't fun if everyone does it?
Jedis should exist but it should take some effort to play them.

Cool idea along with Stargate Worlds for me but im still very skeptical. I think a new genre of 'mini MMO's' that can scale up would be better than everyone trying to be the next 'wow'. I'd really like to see a game that grows with it's population, now that'd be cool!

 

Doesn't the Sith always come in 2? The master and the apprentice? So, first two people to sign up for the dark side can be Sith, after that... "I'm sorry, all Sith slots are filled. You can be a Jedi or a flunky. Please try again."

Or with thousands of Sith running around it kinda ruins that Star Wars universe "rule".

 

Depends what Era it is played in.

If it is BEFORE Darth Bane [The one who created the Rule of Two], then of course it would ruin.
But. If it is made before Darth Bane, then it is possible, due the Sith were a race AND an Army.
Their offspring are actually the Massassi, which builded temples, like the Rogue Base in Episode 4, that later became the Yavin 4 Jedi Praxium

 

as long as you can play something else than a jedi or a sith...

 

...is there a SIMPLE version of the Star wars timeline available?

I'm getting confused with movies and stories and games jumping thousands of years...

There's a sith army and a jedi army then the sith army disappears but they're still around then someone builds a robot army followed by a clone army that turn into stormtroopers but in the meantime the sith reappear....
