    hello guys,
i'm new at the bit-tech forums.

excuse me for my bad english i'm just 15 :D

i would like to show my current casemod.
the case i'm using for this casemod is a lian li pc 7-f:
some of the components i'm using:
    - asus P6T;
    - core i7 920;
    - asus GTX 275;
    - OCZ 6gb ddr3-1600;
    - 2X hitachi 500Gb HDD;
    - cooler master 850w psu

i've beeen modding it for like 2-3 months now so i'll show you guys the progress i've made.

first of al i cut a window in the sidepanel of the case:

then i mounted some plexi on it with these little things:

i put some 2 components glue on it and let it dry:

then i mounted the plexi with screws so i can take it off later on:

    the result of it:

then it was time for some soldering.
i wanted every fan and led to be green.
so i started of with the power and HDD led:

then i modded my front fan to.
didn't want to buy another fan just for the green leds so i did it myself.

    before:

    removed the old leds:

    new leds:

    result:
i'll be using a couple of switches on the back so i can switch the leds on and off.

the day after i desided to stealth the DVD player.
first of all i didn't want anything to stick out so i rerouted the switches:
the reset button will (is) acting as the open/close button.

    the stealthing itself:

    breaking of a front bay:

    and done:

i put some 5% foil over the plexi so it wil act as a 2-way mirror:

    result without light:

    and with:

getting kinda tired of copying and pasting.
so will do another update later.

    mike

    2. The 5% film - is that the stuff that goes on car windows?

    update

ok like i said sorry for not responding.
i'll be rresponding quicker now i know my topic is placed ;)

so now time for the update:

some of the cables for the DVD drive

some thing i ordered for the case:

decided just to use the lian li fan:

    removing the fan itself:

    drilling holes for the LEDs:

i put 4 3mm green LEDs in there:

    result:
i know it looks kinda like the sign of hitler :duh:
    and in the case:

disassembled my cooler master 850w psu:

and took out the 140mm fan:

i noticed there were pre drilled holes in it:

so i put some LEDs in there and here is the result:

next up the component i got:

    OCZ platinum 1600MHz ddr3 mem:

    asus P6T:

and ofcourse the core i7 920:

    everything together:

    and in the case:

decided to paint the stupid red SATA cables black:

when i wanted to put the sidepanel back on i saw the fan was blocking the sidepanel:

    so i cut a little bit out:dremel::

made it nice and smooth again:

    now it fits:

here you see the case without the CCFL's on:
and you can see me :D

    and with the CCFL's:

installed windows 7 RC on it:

    and my nice momentary mouse:D:

will do another update later to where i am right now.

    update

    hey guys,
after this update every new update is about what i did that day.
so here's my last long update:

i got some stuff i ordered:
this package includes: wires, resistors, and some switches.

I made a PCI slot into a switch panel:

    soldered it all up:

and put it in the case:

now i had to do all the wiring for the leds and CCFL's:

    here's how it works:
    switch 1: UV CCFL's
    switch 2: green CCFL's
    switch 3: front fan leds
    switch 4: PSU fan leds
    switch 5: rear fan leds

here's a picture of my case with only the leds on:

here some more pica's i made with lights on and off:

so let's get on with some other things.

didn't like the fact my G15 was green so i got my green module i modded for my other G15 wich died later on :(.

here's the G15 with the module in the front:

    disassembling the G15:

    replacing the leds:

    testing:

    and it's done:

    also got a new toy:

in comparisson to my old card:

    and installed into the case:

    did some benching ofcourse.

    3dmark 06:
look at my CPU wich is a core i7 920 not 975 like it says.

    3dmark vantage:

not the best scores but it's all stock.

i'll post my next update when I modden my graphics card.
i want to put Uv green plexi on it and dremel the Nvidia logo in it.

    thanks,
i still want to change teh color of the display.
but there aren't any leds or SMD's in there.
maybe i'll put some green foil in front of it so it will be a little bit greenish.
    and I know It-service.be ;)
nice online shop but I won't be needing those nanoxia fans anymore now i moddded my own.
they were my first choice before i modded the fans.
I still want to get my watercooling at it-service.
but first I need some money ;)
