Yes. He is butchering a heathen (a PS3) and putting in something worthy of cash (a PC).

Not yet, I'm afraid. I'm waiting for the CPU + RAM + PicoPSU to show up.

While I await the CPU, RAM and PicoPSU, I got this in the mail today - a Titan TTC-NK54TZ low-profile heatsink.

It's TINY, has two heatpipes, a really flat base and is pretty damned quiet. I am most pleased. Of course, I had sleeved it the moment I got it :D

Yup! I'll only be running an E5300 and I'll try and undervolt it too.

Small update for today - I got the PicoPSU!

Anyway, I threw out the 1U power supply and slapped in the Pico after sleeving it (of course). And with the space gained, I even worked out a new place for the HDD. I think this makes the third HDD location, and hopefully it's the last :hehe:

    PicoPSU:

HDD mount - I used motherboard standoffs and bolted them to the floor of the PS3. Since there's a sort of 'step' towards the left of the PS3 base, there are two standoffs stacked along the right side of the drive while there is only one each on the left side. Credit for this simple yet effective idea goes to E.E.L. Ambiense and his Project BluBawx. :thumb:

Another look at the stacked standoffs:

    And a view from above:

I'm _still_ waiting on my CPU, RAM and Bluray drive to show up, so till then, adios.
