    hmmm, not really too bothered about graphics but as for the sata ports I would like to see more than 4 which is all i seen on the original Ion platform the pci slot on the olivemount boards is dual riser compatible which would allow me to use two 4 port sata2 card ( 3 internal 1 ext ) from lindy.

    If Ion2 uses other CPU's (VIA's Nano 3000 series for example) then I might show interest, but if it's limited to Intel Atom hardware, then I couldn't care less.

    is there any need for Ion to be more powerful? It can play back HD movies as is, and is too CPU limited for most games.

    More "other things" is what it needs, but as you say it could be challenging to implement more SATA ports, Gigabit ethernet and the like.
