I was very surprised and I am very grateful by it. THANKS.

 

I have put my project to the side for a bit but now I got some new parts in so I am testing them.

The motherboard I bought from Ebay was used. It's a EVGA X58 SLI LE motherboard.
I liked the color but I will probably swap it out for a ASUS motherboard instead. I have been
looking at the ASUS Rampage III Extreme and the ASUS Rampage III Formula. I didn't like how I had to tweak the memory, flash the cmos, or get it stable. It is stable and running the RAM at full 1600Mhz. I am waiting for my Corsair H70 cooler to overclock the CPU. With my EVGA GTX 470 Superclocked, I am running Crysis and my son likes the game. My RAM is corsair ddr3 1600Mhz Dominator. PLUS, my hard drive crashed while testing so now I gotta get new hard drives for this PC. I am looking at the OCZ Vertex 2 100gb (X2) Raid. I have everything running on a WD 1 TB drive until I get new drives.

For watercooling:
I have chosen the FC 470 GTX block for the video cards.



I have only one GTX 470 Superclocked now but will get another for SLI.

I am very happy with my Intel Core i7 920 D0 step CPU. But I will eventually get a 980X.

 

I love this card. I know its not the fastest but it is awesome.

Since I last worked on my project, my cat had kittens.

They are now 3 months old.

 

I was wondering what happened to this project, good to see it up and running again.

I tried putting my pc together on the table to test it but the kittens kept biting the wires. So, I had to put the motherboard tray and PSU in the case. I gotta take it apart again and start working on the case.

I had stress tested my PC with Prime95 for over 10 hours. I tested the RAM with Memtest. I used the Heaven benchmark for the graphics card. I just need to start overclocking the CPU next. I know this CPU will probably overclock well at 4 but I want to stay around the 3.4 to 3.7 range. Thanks again.
