Can you at least stop talking about boosting votes? For god's sake! Being featured on Bit-Tech got him more spotlight than those sites you talked about. reddit don't know what it is and so livehacker. Only engadget but hasn't the same repercussion as BT. He deserves the spotlight, advertising without paying, only due to his talent. Lucky him =D

Keep Rocking and be sure to get a piece of that gingerbread house case to everyone, it will lose but will fill the void within our stomachs LOL

    Thanks man !

I'll tell all i did in this hole crazyness about it.

I completed the photoshoot for the CM compo on saturday.
Worked like 11 hours a day for my work and after it 8 hours on the desk for 3 days to get it finished.
    I uploaded them Saturday /Sunday.
Bit-tech asked me for a special on sunday afternoon.
Then Hardocp placed a news article about it while i didn't know about it.
So Bit-Tech placed it also earlier then i knew. ( Off course thats no problem :) )

Meanwhile the voting in the CM compo started.
So asked in my buildlogs to vote (Like every one does)

Later that week i also got placed on Reddit without knowing about it.
I never heard about reddit before, thought it was boring. :)
But after 2 hours i saw so many replies i thought why not give them more info and a link to the CM compo for some extra votes.

Next day i read on my mobile some people here thought it was scamming etc, and i would get disqualified.
So while being at work i had to remove the link there by mobile (It takes so darn long with slow internet :p )

I mailed the CM admin if they had any problems with it.
The next day Lifehacker made a post about it, after that Gizmodo, and later Engadget.
I could'nt do anything about it and they all copy-pasted the links and info.

The next day CM replied they didn't mind

So i really can't help it :eyebrow:

Hey I forgot about it already mate :), but story of what happened appreciated, to be honest my thinking wasn't so straight & was also a bit pissy with lack of sleep & other things :hehe: I promised myself a while ago I'd never have another go at another modder so I let myself down there for getting involved in something that was quite irrelevant to me, nearly always the way :duh: should have just ignored it.

Nice coverage anyway mate, it's true you deserve it with it being a super duper desk :D, I suppose the same could happen to anyone with the reddit thing but personally I wouldn't have even signed up there to comment lol, but we all different so naturally don't always see eye to eye on some things so with that in mind no need to be against each other over a hiccup caused from success of a kickass mod :) peace :thumb: & sorry if it bothered you I don't like causing bother in the slightest.

To your defense mate LifeHacker did post an article about your project, but never linked to the competition. They run a segment about awesome offices and workspaces so naturally your project had to come up sooner or later :D. The only reason I saw it on LifeHacker was because I have it as a news stream on my phone, it's fantastic to kill time in boring lectures haha.

I just can't stop, so some pictures again :)

Ordered some extra black bolts for fixing fans to the rad.
Also for future usage off course.

Also got a nice package from Highflow ontvangen.

2 momentary switches will be for "dimming" the 2 pumps.
The 3rd is to replace the "dot illuminated" switch i use for the reset button.
I do like the ring illuminated more.

Also wanted to try the Bitfenix sleeved cables.
I'll use these for the pumps too.
Very nice and soft sleeve by the way.

Probably one of the loudest coin drops i have ever heard... I had the volume way up to hear anything- and still couldn't.

Congrats on an awesome (and ninja-silent) build!

Omg my eeeeaaars! Lol, i cranked the volume to hear the fans but didnt realize I had turned it up so much. Which is a compliment for sound production I guess.. Anyway its a good reference so I dont complain.

Nice table anyway, and always nice to see a good dutch mod.

    Oranje boven!
