Voted a couple of days back for ROG RAMPAGE by nhenhophach due to the individuality and uniqueness of the build, I haven't been on the modding scene for too long but from what I've seen around each and every forum this is a unique build worthy of notification! Good look nhenhophach
Angel OD and nhenhophach got my vote. I love that impressive waterblock of Angel OD and ROG Rampage make me shock within my head.
I know what you mean. It was a tough month for casemods. There was plenty of good competition. Some months it seems like there's too many good cases and others... meh.
It's pretty obvious that the move to the project log section has boosted voter numbers, but nowhere near the boost you get from showing almost complete projects. I'm pretty sure people feel more comfortable voting for something they can see in a completed state. And the number is still going up. Oh, and Angel OD, don't worry, the WII project was featured in the modding section so it will compete in the Mod of the year comp.
To be honest... I'd rather be in MOTM where there is a decent chance of finishing top 6, than getting my butt whooopped in MOTY!
I did think about this - having photos here would boost votes further, and make it easier but it would also mean people don't go clickity click over on the main article, which in turn boosts bit-tech traffic, which in turn keeps the site going through advertising
Sorry Antony, you misunderstand. It's that you've selected most of the mods this month in an almost complete state. Much easier for the voters to make a choice. I had a rant about this a few years back. I worked out that each month, on average, enough builds were finished so that everyone could feature in the contest (so long as they made a project log). Anyway, like I said, I had that rant.
I used to think that was a bad thing but don't anymore, before I understood the MOTM I thought that must be quite de-motivating to place poorly in MOTM when there is a sweet project brewing but it's more about promising projects AFAIK so I see MOTM as a light hearted version of MOTY which is the tough one to impress on & even tougher to pick your favorites . Good way . I remember carry on hinting about air cube in comments & got contacted by Antony for a write up for CustomPC mag (kinda thought someone was taking the mick ) so I dug a little deeper to make it better than it was for the mag article & then was in MOTY 2010 & was even offered a chance to go to campus party europe 2010 in Madrid but I chickened out .
Hey Everybody, First, good luck to all contenders, I know how exciting it is to participate in this compo!! My votes did go to ROG RAMPAGE by nhenhophach and Watercooled CarPC by Angel OD. This mainly for there venture in scratch building a case!! Al other builds look great, but I've got a weakness for Scratchs Builds!!! and offcourse keep up the good work, y'all!!! Spot on mate!!! Hardware isn't the main game in this compo!!! all the way
