    Unfortunately it is in Brazil... It is in the northwest portion judging for their heavy accents (hard to understand even for me that lives here). The guy is sayin (after the s**t is done) that he had towe 8 cars that way.
    The car being pulled is actually a "saveiro", and it is not in the same family as a Polo. An older version of this one:

    it was hooked to the engine hoist point, which is how it ripped the timing cover and belt off with it. it just happened to catch the core support on its way out which makes the video that much better.

    The problem isn't the engine mount, but the amount of dirt/debris

    Okay: It's not the best way to tow a car, since the engine is mounted in bushings to support the engine,. and thus you are pulling the engine 'out of position' and in the end you will tow the rest of the car also..
    ( I myself have jacked-up my car with the jack positioned under the sump lot-o-times )

    But, my guess is, that if they used the towing eye.. the car would still end up stuck

    (broken towing rope, towing eye, spinning wheels on tow-car, ripped-out towing eye or even: bend chassis).
