Nice work, you going to do keyboard and mouse for it at all? if so you can always search ebay for watch innards or watch spares, sometime find plenty of lots with loads of clocks and springs, very steam punk style.
or scrounge a clock from yard/garage/tag sales, charity shops or the like. mechanical clocks seem to be a 'toss out' item. Sad, that. john
