Just come back from the Festival of Speed. I have so many shots to look at and process, but here are a few : EDIT: Looking at them, hosting them on Bit Tech has reduced the quality a little? Oh well, il re-host on Flikr later on.
awesome shots there bdigital. love the slide shot where it gives a real sense of sidewards speed. here's some processed shots from my Paris trip. 1. Paris by wuyanxu, on Flickr 2. Fancy lamp post by wuyanxu, on Flickr 3. Sunset over Paris by wuyanxu, on Flickr 4. Sacré Cœur by wuyanxu, on Flickr 5. Bones and skulls by wuyanxu, on Flickr 6. Louve, old and new by wuyanxu, on Flickr More in this flickr set.
Some lovely shots there, really love the lampost and Louvre. Skulls too actually... The two Paris skyline ones could do with some horizon straightening.
indeed, #1 and #3 really do need some straightening, not sure how i missed that during post processing. thanks for your comments.
I'd also be tempted to crop the left hand side of that first one so the street you're focusing on is central, though it'd probably lead to a very slim final image. Apart from that, they're ace, i particularly love how sharp the lamppost is.
Haha thanks A couple from a while back: Seeding Dandelion 2 by George.Yoda, on Flickr Purple flowers by George.Yoda, on Flickr
Thanks wyx much appreciated. Motorsport is the main reason i bought a dslr and yesterday i found out its quite difficult! If people dont mind me sharing il put a few more up next week once ive had some time to find some good ones. It may take a while!! P.s any motorsport photography nuts on here feel free to pm me if you have tips or just want to mock my poor skills!
I like the first one. What's the background setup? The Dance by angad84, on Flickr Lights! by angad84, on Flickr Gripen Dirty Diamond by angad84, on Flickr Break by angad84, on Flickr Spotters by angad84, on Flickr
its a black wexpro pop up background with a sunpax 26dx flashgun at full power gelled red (think it was lee fire red) the flash sits on a stand behind him with the top of the flash just below his shoulders slight tilt towards background and a black card put on side facing him to act as a flag and stop spill. Gives me an easy way of altering colours and by moving flash and using a grid you can get different backgrounds easily. If I reduce the other lights and increase aperture you can also turn the background fully red.
Amazing shots of Paris. The one with the tower & the sun shafts is mezmorising. How did you achieve this? Out on interest where would one find the skulls?
thanks. sun god rays are just there, it's the kind of thing you just have to be there at the right time. it is the Catacombs of Paris. not worth the queuing time for tourism IMHO, but worth it for learning about low light photography. http://www.catacombes-de-paris.fr/english.htm im also thinking about visiting air raid bunkers dotted around England, you should get a similar challenging low light scene as Catacombs.
You should check out http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/ Ppl on here go all over visiting amazing places.
