oh my god he is right. i spent like 3 hours scouring the internet trying to solve that ya know....im not good with european cars and im not good with classic cars but i didnt want to see this thread die. robin, its your turn to post a hint!
I'm glad this thread got revived. I'm rubbish at ID'ing cars but I enjoy watching and discovering new stuff with you guys. There's a "guess the plane" game on Flickr that I've been having quite some fun with, though. Carry on
I'm going to guess 1970's Cadillac deville, its the turn signals EDIT: Its not a deville, but close. Just noticed the turn signal lamps don't extend down the wing.. Also i suspect its a rear panel
Revenge!!! How about this: Rob, can you, please, give the other guys a chance and hold off for, say, 10 hours? I know it’s a piece of cake to you, so let’s just wait and see if someone else can get it, OK? (Unless you really want the next turn, that is, in which case go right ahead.)
No. It is an American classic though, and no trickier than the Monaco Robin posted (ie not an obscure edition or an export variant).
Ok, i think about 10 hours has passed, haha. So, that car you've posted is Mercury Marquis from 1969. But, from that cropped shot, this could be also 1969 and 1970 Mercury Marauder (except for X100 models). Seems like Marquis in 1970 has had dual lower body paint stripes instead of upper ones. I give my turn to someone else if you don't mind Double Mac.
