So much.
Mainly bad dinners (restaurants in Namibia were bloody atrocious through the holiday season), Xmas presents and booze.
Also, a new Defy washing machine and a new couch next week.

Do they do a touchscreen one?

 

Not yet they don't. But that would be instant porn for people who upgraded an older laptop to Win8!
And my guess is that would take too much juice. This one is connected through a single USB 3.0 cable. No extra power cord or anything.

 

If I ever manage to buy an edit-capable laptop that thing would be amazing for scopes etc!

 

Got me one of these Finally back to 2 monitors after my last one went pop.

 

I still don't have them in my hands, but they should arrive this week or latest next week. But judging from what I've read so far (which is A LOT) they do sound absolutely stunning. Having listened to the LCD-2 and LCD-3 before, I am very certain that they will make me very very happy.

I'm sure it does. Tried it on its own and with the E11 so far ('phones are a pair for HE-400s)... for what I paid this little thing is an absolute steal! Especially combined with an amp it really shines.

Right now I'm still contemplating the DAC/amp combo to power the LCD-X, but luckily they will be just fine with the Dragonfly/E11 combo or straigth from the headphone jack of the Pioneer PS-1. For the time being, that is. Once the nice people at the Ministry of Finance of Germany will send me some money I will splash the cash, again. This time it will be on a Burson Soloist and an Arcam irDAC.

Did I ever mention that I hate waiting?

Her Latitude U310 is, quite frankly, a dog, and the Wifi is packing up (bad sign, I know). I was looking for a Belkin micro unit, and couldn't find one. Since time is quite critical here, I got this instead. It's not going to be doing much data transfer, mostly web and email, and as such, high speed is not my priority.

 

A shiny new U2913WM, technically not a purchase, but the old one is already on the way back to Amazon, due to a dud USB hub and video processor crashing.

Now to find a few more of the vinyl figures, because why not! Specifically Tyrion and John Snow. (A song of ice and fire is probably the best book series I've read so far, but I've got quite the reading list ahead of me)

 

Buckskin, rabbit fur, cotton broadcloth, a ribbed turtleneck and a set of heavy leather gauntlets for a cosplay setup. Been making good money making props, treating myself.

 

I had bought a pair of razer carcharias because of numerous reviews saying how comfortable they were. unfortunately for me, when i tried them out they were majorly uncomfortable, far too tight around the ears.

So i have just returned them and bought a pair of Qpad QH-90s to replace them.



So far couldn't be happier, immensely comfortable and sound significantly better than the razers, only thing i'm not a fan of is the all white look, but really it's not like i'm going too spend much time looking at them when they are on my head.

 

You do know they come in black too, no?

I believe the black pair is a lot more expensive. I've been wanting a new pair myself and the qPads look awesome, but I have no reason to actually replace my current set. Might be ordering myself some more funko pop game of thrones vinyl figures. Specifically John Snow and Tyrion Lannister.

 

Re headsets - Found a Corsair Vengeance 2000 headset on clearance @ PCWorld (I was in there anyway).
Also £30 framing fee for the original sketch of Girl Genius I received as part of a Kickstarter for Vol.12.
