:jawdrop: Oh, Yeah! The light stain worked perfectly.
Beware the CM contest voters: Some of them are like us, but a lot of them are like, "DUUUR, why is a desk in the contest? Where is computur?"

Thats kind of funny. I didn't send my entry to the CM. I just didn't have enough time to finish the build. And it's linked to my old entry.

The motherboard drawer is already installed. I have to still "fine-tune" it. A little sanding, and painting the interior.

I love these woodworking skills. I think Awadon to wood is just like how we see Attila to Aluminium. Masterful work, I think it'll look truly incredible when its done; I look forward to when you put the hardware in.

In the end I found five minutes for the project.

I've decided to do a make a pull-out keyboard desk from a deck.
I'll have to find a keyboard 1.5 centimeters thick. Otherwise it won't recedes from the top.

I have to make some more fittings of course.

And that's another bonus. Fragment of a door, that took me some time lately.

    and with the backlight:

Aw, Yeah. Nicely done. I'm guessing most of this time was taken FINDING a thin keyboard.

This is an epic work. Reminds me of a saying I used to say doing custom flooring. "Make it look like it grows there" This looks like it belongs in a starship. Or a treehouse. Very NICE!

    I don't mind it at all :)

I've added lighting - RGB LED strips. Unfortunately, they have a small problem. They are less likely to spread across the strip than normal, single color LED's. I'm losing in this way the uniformity of the backlight. But the ability to change the color and brightness of the light, and radio remote control is somewhat compensating. (I think that one of the operating modes "disco" knocked me flashing a riot of colors. I don't think, I'll be using it :).
Than I've made a USB ports, firewire and power switches.
