Yup, they blamed a warehouse relocation last week assuring me it was going to be dispatched Friday, order status still shows as "Order being Prepared" despite funds being paid. An the tracking details still don't work so waiting to see if they magically do.

Having an over-thinking episode & it's "properly doin' my nut in...!"
It's a full-on 1st world problem and I'm pedalling like f*** & getting nowhere - I've posted thread(s) elsewhere on here to little avail, too.

Having to listen to my colleagues choice of music (nothing wrong with) bleeding out of the in-ear headphones, its at a volume that a) tells me that it must be mega loud for them, b) its too quiet for me to enjoy (ignoring the fact it super tinny) and c) its too loud to ignore.

Fun fact! Bear Mace is actually weaker than People Mace, also known as pepper spray. Bear mace is about 2 percent spicejuice, while US civilian pepper spray (using US 'ere 'cos it's illegal in the UK) is around 10 percent spicejuice.

Was thinking of the instances where an amazon robot [an actual one not one of the meatsacks it nominally employs] ran over a can of the stuff resulting in the building having to be evacuated.

Took our Fiesta ST into the dealership today to have the Side Skirt refitted (third attempt). Thought it would only take an hour so didn't follow in the other car so we could run errands etc. Three and half hours later the side skirt is fitted (kind-of) but due to sill damage (only becoming apparent when they attempted the refit and was there when we bought the car as we haven't hit anything..) it needs to go in again (!) to have that looked at and the skirt re-fitted.

At least one of the body shop guys lightened the mood by pointing out, rather loudly I might add, that he told them it wouldn't fit multiple times..

My wife's dad is a Panel beater so this is a conversation I have heard many a time.. :D

Brake bolts all turned up present and correct, brilliant, fitted the fronts no real hassle, rears went in fine but the back wheel was jammed. Initially thought it was just the pads, nope the actual mount on the frame is on the piss. Brilliant!

Just did the front brakes on my girlfriends parent's Merc B-Class.

It all went fine and all fitted and worked as expected.

So why is this life ruining you ask? Well. There are little jacking posts on the underside of the car that are easy to get to with a regular jack. There were obvious places to put stands. The warning sensors, the brake lines, the calipers themselves (aside from being ostensibly the same design as most single pot calipers with slide pins) were all so.. German. Everything had it's place (with clips and rubber grommets), everything was neat and tidy, and everything was so easy to get apart I'm mad that older Ford's don't have these features.

I was doing the brakes on my 3 series once, the slide pins screw in with a hex head:

    Tries Allen key, too small
Tries next one up, too big
    *Must've grabbed the wrong one*
Next one down, too small, check: 6mm
Next up then, still too big, check 8mm

The sodding things are 7mm, who thought that up?

    Reassemble, drive to Halfords, repeat.

Don't suppose you added a 3-series Haynes manual to that cart...? :p

Yeah, sounds about right, I removed a steering wheel from a car, securing bolt was a 9mm fitting WHY!

I'm convinced manufacturers pick a handful of bolts that won't match any tool in a pre-made set of tools for each model vehicle.
