The contact tracing farce just keeps getting more comedic...

What are the predictions for when the next lockdown will be?

Will the summer keep levels down enough, or will Cummings ending lockdown and Boris going "**** it" and removing all restrictions (even social distancing) be too much?

Winter lockdown must be a guarantee, but can we get a couple of lockdowns in before then?

It's so sweet that people think the first wave is over.

I see hotspots in Germany have jumped their r rate up to over 2.

Have to keep an eye on that, not that if there are any lessons we'd pay any attention to them.

I don't think there will be another lockdown. If for no other reason than Boris having developed a visceral fear of being alone in a room with Keir Starmer. Or more likely because the party donors are complaining about their bottom line too much already.

If the deaths spiral, the papers will blame it on the failings of the NHS and it's 'inefficiency and intransigence despite the mountains HMG has moved to provide equipment, beds and finance,' it's already been happening. Can't blame Boris, he made Brexit happen.

Also, I expect the daily updates of cases and deaths to slowly be reduced then stopped before next winter. Can't be blamed for bad numbers if there are no numbers.

    ^^^ What he said.

Besides the chaos of COVID-19 is a nice way to cover up the chaos of a no-deal Brexit.

I refuse to believe that the government, even at their most diabolical, would dare to think this. Because if that's true, it's time to kick them all out and start over.

Don't get me wrong: the government did not deliberately make a **** show of their COVID-19 management in order to hide the impact of a no-deal Brexit, but it is part of the same sociopathic thinking, so a convergence is inevitable.

Honestly, the time to kick politicians out and bar the doors so the snivelling douchebag runoff couldn't get back in has come, gone, and is a distant memory.

We're entering into an era of hardline politicians with more charisma and self importance than desire to do right by the people or the country. So long as they're okay, everyone else is expendable. Unfortunately I don't see it getting better as both sides will escalate their bombastic characters to try and outdo the other side and win more attention 'cause attention means votes.

COVID-19 is just a poorly timed pandemic that's exacerbating the comedy of errors in government.

Indeed, i'm sure there was a case of let's see this as an opportunity. I still remember the Labour aide and the whole "It is now a very good day to get out anything we want to bury?" at the time of 9/11.

Tories and Covid, well, they'll have been looking at all the angles.

Yeah, she thought it'd be a good chance to bury dodgy expense claims.

Did you know that she went on to become a primary school teacher? A fine upstanding role model for a new generation.

MP aide to primary school teacher, I imagine the kids she works with expect a higher level of morality from her so it may have helped her in the long run.

At this point I can't see a glass let alone tell whether it's half full or half empty.

"Wet stain on the tablecloth" is probably many here's opinion on most members of government.
