I've warned my DM reading Brexiteer mum to stock up.

Apparently "none of us" voted for this though but will get some things in. Mind you seeing as she only really eats a bit of salad and baked potatoes I think she'll be fine.

Who knows, it may not come to that. BoJo may use the tried and tested method of agreeing to earlier terms and claiming it a success, I mean he successfully gave up £7billion from the EU investment bank that the EU didn't ask for - that was a 'win' apparently

Well, not sure "pasta" and "tinned tomatoes" count as middle-class exclusives, there, and "olive oil" is stretching it a bit. Plus, if you like olives you're not so much middle-class as just wrong. Ugh. 'orrid little greasy sour buggers that they are.

Or as the Express / DM / Torygraph / Sun would put it:

"Now those treasonous snakes from Project Fear are even weaponizing the dead against our glorious Brexit, deport them all!!!"

It's not even bluster or waffle, this government can't even prevaricate or dodge questions well.

I don't think it's a coincidence. The kind of self important incompetents who would see no value in a library and also fail to notice a barely veiled insult for six months are exactly the kind of people who would jump at the chance to suck up to Boris, then obvliviously stand him in front of said insult because all the books make them look smarter. That's fate.

Because those are the requirements for if we leave sans deal, and any deal may change/remove them. So business don't actually know if those will be the requirements come January.

You as a business don't want to go to the effort of designing and printing labels/packaging, only to to find that an agreement ratified in the meantime has resulted in said packaging no longer complying with the agreed regulations.

EDIT: the primary example is from the link itself - 'Organic' food/items. Whther or not you can label/sell things as 'Organic' depends on there being a deal, current there isn't and you can't. But there could a deal struck a deal meaning you can, so what do you do? Make labels without that label/logo? Do you hope for a deal? Will not having that label affect sales?
