The Final Mithril I will bust up this wad of cash on the 6th in Singapore and bring you the Final Mithril on the 10th of Jan
that's a handsome face on the notes.... but sadly mine's all in purple and red... ($2 and $10 respectively) haha can't wait to see what u can buy with tt load of cash.
QUNEX SR75 This was delivered by FedEx this morning: I've been informed that I am allowed to also purchase 3x 120GB HDDs in Singapore (on top of all the other stuff I'm getting) which is pretty cool. Next update on the 10th. Take care guys
Looks real cool bsodmike, that is one beefy cable (and expencive too, if I am remembering correctly ) So you'll be back from Singapore on the 10th? Have fun dude! Don't spend too much
I love this project, Mike. How much cash is that American? And what exactly do you mean by you will be 'allowed' to buy 3 x 120gig HDDs?
Guessing that there are 10 bills there, and they are all the same value (I can count 8, but I'm guessing 10 due to the size of the wad), the current market share value as of 2004.01.06 03:35:44 GMT would mean that 500 SGD (Singapore Dollars) would equal roughtly 294.302 USD (United States Dollars). [EDIT] Recounting it, I can see 10 bills [/EDIT]
Writing from Funan Centre guys! Actually that bundle is 900SGD and I was able to pick up a 173T syncmaster with it. So far I've gotten: 3x 120GB HDDs, 2x 256 meg XMS3200 Corsair, 1x CM black widow, Z-680 5.1 speakers, Gamecube and Codeveronica X (US!), Sony DVDWriter and got my broken (1month new pbook) replaced to a NEW NEW one! Loads of images to appear here on Sat! DD - Allowed: by mom Regards Mike
Ah, 900, must of missed a few bills then 900.00 SGD (Singapore Dollars) would be roughly 530.265 USD (United States Dollars) using market rates as of 2004.01.07 07:05:44 GMT
Please tell me you're going to cut those case fan mounting points open so those poor fans can actually breath.
Update From Singapore - 8th-Jan-04 - 12:14hrs I took my sort-of-screwed dead-in-2-weeks-after-first-use 15" Alu Pbook (purchased in Nov) back to Apple and guess what? They gave me a NEW one! I was able to transfer all the images to my pbook and I have lugged it to Funan Centre to upload all the images via Wifi as teh AppleCentre here got 'free' Wifi, heck they even let me print for free (first time I have ever been able to print from my powerbook, seems that 'AppleTalk' is the key and an HP printer that costs an arm n' leg!) Some of the stuff posted have been picked up for Mithril but most for the Office PC that I am rewamping as Mom has quite a few exams after we return home so I will have enough time to take it apart, mod and setup again (maybe 1 or 2 days at most) but the tricky but will be in modding the wireless G card (I'm thinking of lopping off the entire LED - this way I might be able to get to see some silkscreening of the diode polarity) For Mithril - the 120GB SATA Maxtor, 17" TFT and the Z-680. The DVD Writer will go in SpawnBox2, while the 120GB PATA Maxtor will go in my Linux Server. The rest are for the OfficeBox. 6th Jan 04 - The Start of a Shopping Spree! Two sticks of Corsair XMS3200 DDR400 256MB RAM Three 120GB HDDs, 1x Maxtor PATA, WD PATA and Maxtor SATA The Samsung Syncmaster 173T 17" TFT with DVI for S$875 An 802.11G Linksys card and a 5port switch (using this to extend my maxed out 8-porter) Just to give you an idea about the size of this switch, ultra sexy and ultra compact! A better shot of the wireless G card. I plan to mod this card a little
