There was a "secret" mod for QuakeCon, but it has been delayed.
So it will be either this PC, or the Ammo PC upgraded.

I hope I get a chance to make QuakeCon this year. I was sooo upset that I couldnt make last years but having kids stuff happens.

Big request...could you bring as many of your custom pc's as possible!!! Just to show everyone the total differences in each project. Plus if I get to go I would love to see them all in person.

Do you know if their is any chance that AMD/ATI is looking for more modders to show off their products?!

*As far as your current project goes... U DA MAN!!!!*

Pss...can us local texans stop by and borrow your laser cutter...lol!!!!??

I love it. Shame about those killed LEDs, lucky you didn't take anything else out with them though. More heatshrink...

I'd say I wish I had your talent but that's kinda demeaning to my modding skills, rather I wish I had the support of ATi and whatnot to sponsor stuff like that and access to that laser cutting thinger you won.

Great job though, it's really amazing. It's one of those mods that'll be getting quite a few of those wow.... looks.

That's gotta scare the hell out of you when you put so much time and effort and whatnot into doing something like this, you close the lid and get smoke... (although I've killed LEDs, never seen them smoke).

    :dremel:

Maybe you should have used fuses.
Sorry to hear that, that PC is so beautiful.

The LEDs didn't smoke, the wire running to them did.
It has been repaired, and I will have final photo's up soon.

Ok, here are the final shots:

Note: Due to my digital camera over-saturating the green LEDs, all the green has been edited in photoshop.
It really doesn't do it justice in these photos.
Refer to this photo for actual green color:
    http://www.zapwizard.com/ati/modshots/32-Top-Logo-Night.jpg

    High-res copies are here:
    http://www.zapwizard.com/ati/highres/

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

The PC, Glowpad, Keyboard, Mouse and Headset.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

The PC alone. These images were taken with two light sources, about normal room lighting.
BTW, I did use that idea to paint the edges of the case windows black.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The Power Supply side.
I wish I could have lit up the Radeon Logo, but there is simply not enough room.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The back of the PC.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here you can see the keylock, status LED, Power and Reset buttons.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Fire-n-Ice cooler is my favorite mod on this PC.
Even though it is cooling the PC, it just looks like it is cooking hot.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Graphics Card side of the PC.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

The burning effect again in the Radeon 9800XT.
(The PC will have a X800 XT added later)

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

The UFO Glow puck on the buttom of the case.
Again, this is NOT what the true green looks like.
It is a very deep green, and compliments the red very well.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

The top of the PC with the AMD Athlon64 Logo, and an Athlon64 show piece.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Fire-n-Ice cooler from the other side.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The front from another angle.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

A front on shot of the blade.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

This shot is a total night shot with no lights besides the PC.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is what the PC looks like running at a LAN event.
(The PC was not complete in this photo)
    More photo's here:

What can I say? Those final shots are fan-frikkin-tastic! I love the lighting effects on the PC! :D However, based on the brightness of the LEDs, Perhaps some dimmer controls are in order? :hip:
