Scratch that. You're right. I don't know where he got it from, but I went back in time and reread the first page and he did have it around. But it was already nonfunctioning.
Must have gotten lost in some edit somewhere. I think it said "from a friend" and that he didn't test it. Whatever i'm sure he can cast some light on the subject. As the smartass i am i can't resist... I state: I'm right - he didn't test it ...
wooooooooowwwww this is sweeet that would be cool if that chip did work it would show how amd put pride in there work no matter the costs
Zapwizard r u going to Quakecon because I'm from Cleveland and for my birthday my parents might let me go up there. I would love to see some of your mods in real life instead of pictures
I am pretty sure he is going, and from his website, I think he will have a mod that he has been working on at QC to show off. I will be there as well, but none of my stuff could compare to his currently. I have a long way to go before I get near that skill.
It was not a CPU I had tested personaly, but it was tested bad before I got it. Spy246, yes I will be at QuakeCon. I am not sure which PC I am bringing though. The LaserPC on my website is going to be rebuilt different then I originaly planned, and won't be ready for QuakeCon this year. If I don't bring the ATI/AMD Shuttle PC, I will probably bring the AmmoPC again, mabye with a 64-bit upgrade.
How about an update zap. Last time you checked in you needed to finish your security switch, finish the top window and add the lazer etched side windows. I think you also were switching to a x800? How is all that coming along? If you can't tell I am very excited to see this mod in its Final Awsome state.
I had some small 400w mini smoke machines in stock not so long back for about 30 quid, i can always check if you want, failing that at Plasa last year they had a bat operated pocket smoke machine for about 400 quid :O it even had a small remote with it it was so cute Edit: just noticed your in yanke land, Tho you can get the mini foggers over there from a company called Chauvet
Here is the play-by-play of the last week: Monday: PC was going to be 100% done... Delay: The clamps holding the front blade on make marks in the paint Solution: Repaint the blade...but I decided on making a plexi blade instead. Tuesday: Worked on the new blade, finished wiring the security circuit, added window trim, cut fresh case windows. Didn't finish due to time Wednesday: Not much work done, as I had to go to my normal job day job. But I photographed all the parts for the PC. There are only three non-modified parts on this PC: The CPU, Harddrive and RAM Thursday: The PC "was" 100% done, and I was closing the case for the final time, when the PC started spewing smoke. The bolts holding the top window in place were pushing down on one of the LEDs on the top logo, and caused a short. This make the wiring burn, but didn't damange any of the PC. I fixed the bolts last night, and tonight I will re-wire the LEDs, clean up a little, and then the PC will be done.
Groovy. Man I bet you about had a heart attack when you saw that smoke. Did you actually cry out NOOOOOOO. I would. Looking forward to the final shots. Its gonna be an award winner for shure. But now that this mod is done, whatever will you do now?
Ok... that my friend, as about a 9 to 9.5 in the sphincter shrinker scale!!! OMG!!! Glad you got that "feature" modified! Hehehehe, even more glad to hear that it did not damage the mod! A little wiring clean up is never a bad thing!
I remember seeing the Ammo Box mod at Quakecon last year. you weren't at your computer, but i stood there staring at it for a good 10 minutes. Will you be bringing this one to Quakecon this summer if it's complete? Or do you have some sort of "secret weapon" you'll be unveiling to blow us all away?
